How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?: From the 48 Days podcast. I hope to get help starting my own business.

What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?: Employee

And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?: I would like to free up some of my time. I believe the best way to do that is to have a business of my own that can more than replace my current income.

How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?: Be a good father and husband. Increase the time I can spend with my family. Find something that I can do that helps others.

What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?: Desire to help others. Conservative financial management. Detail oriented. S and C in the DISC.

If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:: Cedar sache craft. Posting land for people. Sell maple syrup products. Budgeting/getting out of debt assistance.

Yours is a great question. If I were you, I would take the time to get a better understanding of your best features and enduring qualities, and then build a plan around them.

Most entrepreneurs don't do that. They follow a plan developed for someone else. That can be a recipe for frustration, and sometimes disaster.

Why don't we setup a time to talk through a few of your questions? Is it usually easiest for you to chat in the morning, or is afternoon/evening better in your schedule?

Good to hear from you. Boy... Just thinking about a trial and error approach leaves me tired. Frankly, when I started in business, I didn't have that kind of time or money.

Why don't we spend some time zeroing in on some of the things that bring out your best? Many entrepreneurs spend a lot resources analyzing and trying to figure out what people would pay money for, (and there's a place for that), but a better approach is called for.

Go through them, and watch where you may fall in best and serve, or just to get involved. Pay attention to which of the groups are getting a lot of activity. The highly active groups typically stay up on the home page a lot. But you can sort the groups by activity as well.

There are also a lot of great discussions going on in the main page, as well people are posting blogs, and commenting others. Feel free to join in the discussions right on the front page to get your feet wet. Again, the resources are abundant, but just jump in and you'll start getting the hang of it. If I can help with anything in any way just let me know.

One thing I noticed on your profile is you are detail oriented. That is a great core competency. It is a rare gift not many people have.
