How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I googled "mastermind ADHD" and found this community. I would love to join in conversation and support with other entrepreneurs...especailly solo-preneurs!
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Currently self-employeed as an ADD/ADHD Life Coach after being in the corporate world as a CPA for 14 years
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I have started my own company called Changing It Forward, which is a service company offering ADD/ADHD Life Coaching. Having been a CPA for years, the business set-up isn't too bad for me. It's the part of being "alone" in my business when I am a people person. I would love to hire others in my business eventually. Due to my ADD, administrative tasks are a challenge for me; thus, I hope to get to the point soon to be able to hire support in that area so that I can REALLY pursue my passion and calling of coaching and educating others regarding ADD/ADHD. God has continually shown me that I am on the correct career path, so I continue to pray for His strength and wisdom to carry me through!
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I would like to be more carefree. There's too much craziness in life right now. I could get more detailed, but I'll leave that for times of sharing if the opportunity arises.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am a caring, supportive, dependable person. I have a passion to let the world know about ADD/ADHD and how it actually works in one's life. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 35! It's not a death sentence as many believe. With God's help, I have been able to move forward and hope to help others see that this is possible for them as well. I have TOTALLY depended on God with this new career. And trust me; I've been quite tempted to try to re-enter the CPA field when things get so very tight financially...and I don't even want to go back to that career. God continues to provide! Also, anytime I have a thought of going back to the CPA/corporate world, someome calls me within 48 hours inquirinbg about my coaching services! They may not becoem a client, but it shows me that there is a need. I don't beleive in coincidences. That's a God-thing happening! :)
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
My company is called Changing It Forward. I am an ADD/ADHD Life Coach and want to support, encourage, and help others with ADD/ADHD accomplish all they want in life. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 35. It is difficult to accept at that age and MUCH MORE difficult for your family and friends to accept. There is a life after the diagnosis! In fact there are many parts of ADD/ADHD that can actually serve as an advantage for a person if they know how to channel it in such a way. I want to help people by educating them on what ADD/ADHD is actually all about as well as helping through coaching individuals and groups to find strategies and systems to help them through or around their challenges. It is also important to me to help others with ADD/ADHD see their strengths, which we often overlook and ignore. I've been coaching clients since January of 2008 and have coached males and females across the country - from Seattle to DC! The ages have ranged from 13 to 60, and I continue to learn more daily. It's an exciting experience!

Hey, Tina! I'm glad to see you in Motivation HQ. I was wondering...how much do you think sugar impacts ADD/ADHD? I quit eating sugar almost 6 weeks ago, so I guess I'm paying more attention to the ways in which sugar affects us.
Thanks for joining Motivation HQ. I hope you it. I look forward to your participation there.
You're welcome Tina! Sounds like you've got a really cool focus in your coaching with the ADHD stuff. I think there are a lot more people that have to face that issue than they realize. I wonder how much of the population really does have that issue.
What's been your favorite part about your coaching business so far?
PS Also, in case you're interested, I offer a free resource entitled Goal-Setting That Actually Works! to those who join the Make The Move email community (also free). I think you'll get a ton out of both resources.
I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.
One thing I noticed on your profile is your ADD/ADHD Coaching business is doing very well. That is great. Keep up the good work.
Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!
Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:
