Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I have been a 48 Days fan for years and have attended many of Dan's events. I hope to be an active participant in the dreams of others while I seek to fulfill my own purpose in life.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am a certified instructional designer and oversee instructional technology at a medical college. I love helping people bring their ideas to life by making them teachable and actionable. I do a lot of freelance instructional design in the form of creating study guides, workbooks, and other teaching resources.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I want to inspire people to be their best, to never settle for mediocrity, and to make a difference in whatever they do. A parallel interest is coffee roasting, which is a hobby at the moment.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I want to create a life that I never want to retire from.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am a writer, teacher, encourager, and thinker.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
Are you interested in finding a better job, starting a business, growing your current business, writing a book, blogging, podcasting, coaching, speaking, sales & marketing, or something else?
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
I have a couple of books already available and more on the way.

Why Change Is Hard and Excuses Are Easy

Posted on June 6, 2017 at 7:30am 0 Comments

"You don't really want to change!" I've made that statement a million times…in my mind. It is my natural response to people who like to list all of the reasons they can't do something different. Excuses are more plentiful than we realize.

The disgruntled employees who chronically complain about their jobs.

The clients who bemoan lackluster business…

84 Percent of Americans Plan to Do This

Posted on January 30, 2017 at 10:57am 2 Comments

It is estimated that 68.8% of American adults are overweight or obese. More than 80% of American households carry some sort of debt. Approximately 56% of American adults are addicted to social media. Those numbers should be alarming but they pale in comparison to another number that doesn't get much attention—84%. What is it that 84% of Americans plan to do this year?…

Wannabe, Usetobe, or Gonnabe… Which One Are You?

He was about seven or eight years old and we were sitting at a concert listening to one of our favorite Christian artist sing. He looked at my wife and me and said, "One day I'm gonna do that," and he pointed at the stage. Those are lofty dreams for a kid. They also were "deafening" words for parents when that kid's ambition involved playing drums. This was his "gonnabe statement."

He was born banging on things and the…

Hello Terry,

Welcome to the 48Days community. We are glad you are here. My name is John Henderson. I like to take some time each week and welcome new visitors.

You will find this place to be a wealth of advice and information. You can read blogs by other members, start your own, jump into a discussion in the forums, join one of the great groups for a more focused conversation and much more.

I am the group leader of Lifewise Transitions. We help people realize their dreams by giving them focused advice on their specific obstacle. Does technology, motivation, focus, your past or any other hurdle stand in your way?  We can help.

You can join the conversation here Lifewise Transitions.

Again we are glad you're here. If you want to become the best version of yourself you're in the right place!

Welcome Terry,

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, it sounds like you are interested in writing. If so, consider joining the Write It Forward. There are some great discussions going on that will likely be very profitable for you.

Plus, you might want to check out Speak It Forward as well. It's another group I'm involved with that has a lot of activity taking place.

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian
