Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I origionally heard about Dan Miller on the Dave Ramsey show. I have now read 48 Days as well as No More Mondays and love both of them. I love business and music and had all but given up on music in particular as a profession until I learned about Dan Miller. Now I hope to confidently and passionately pursue both music and business. Hopefully 48Days.Net can help me to stay focused on those goals as well as give me the positive mindset and maybe some other tools that will make me successful.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I currently work in a restaurant. After 10 years as a bottom feeder in the restaurant business, I finally learned about the power in adding value to yourself if you want to be worth more. After upgrading my value, I was not too surprised when I got a promotion, even in bad economic times. Now I am learning more about building a startup and being successful in business.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I expect to own my own business soon. I would love to tie music into my core business but haven't found a way to accomplish this yet.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
My biggest goal in my personal life is to make sure I always have time for my family. I have a wonderful wife, a 3 year old son, and another boy on the way. They will always be a big part of my life.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am a bit of an introvert which is a blessing and a curse. I'm not always the best "people person," although I have gotten better at this. The positive side of this is that I enjoy spending time by myself reading, working on music, or improving myself in whatever ways possible. I love to learn, I am a good listener, and I think I have a natural ability to think outside the box.

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for sharing.

What other qualities would that person need to have, besides a focus on the solution?

Merry Christmas.

Hi Stephen,

Why would you want people around you that would help you stay in the box? Wouldn't that limit your own creativity and expression?

Hi Stephen,

Good to hear from you.

Surrounding yourself with the right crowd is one of the ways of creating a winning environment. How many other ways can you think of?

What type of business idea interests you?

One of the keys to making your own business work is to build it around your best gifts and strengths.

Most people don't do that. They build it on a cookie-cutter platform. How have you taken inventory of your own your best qualities?

Just noticed you joined 48Days.net -- WELCOME! It's a great site with tons of great people.

If you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out the following groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place.

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

One other thing…I want to offer you a gift. You can download my FR EE e-resource entitled Goal-Setting That Actually Works! by joining the REAL Success E-Zine community at www.liveitforward.com. It's a growing and dynamic community of people striving to live WAY BEYOND their average in the most important roles of their lives. I think you'll get a ton out of both the Goal-Setting product and the REAL Success E-Zine. And again, both are absolutely free.

Looking forward to connecting with you!

It sounds like you've learned a very important life lesson. Your life gets better when you get better. Very cool. Keep those personal and business goals clearly in sight - and they'll come into view.
