Creating a position for me?

I'm nearing the end of sanity in my job search and have hit the deadline I set for myself in finding a job that is a good fit. I told my wife a while back that February 5th would be the day I start out for Lowe's and the land of $9/hr and a "life-sucking" JOB. I have had a hard time finding companies that I could picture myself working for here in the Chattanooga, so one of my questions what ways can I narrow my job search in order to find companies with a great established CS team and ethic? I…See More

I suppose I should give an explanation of the title. Pretty sure it's french and I'm pretty sure it means that everything is in it's place. I took the idea from Peter Reinhart's Bread Baker's Apprentice.  He lays it out in the book as gathering the ingredients measuring everything out and having it ready to go. In this stage of the business process; Here I stand. I spent the weekend investing in family a Bro-&-Sis-in-law that are scarily like my wife and I. I jokingly refer to them as a…See More

This blog is my chronicle. I'm hoping it will be an epic of transformation on what I am learning as a man and entreprenuer. I'm not sure if starting a business to develop myself into a stronger man is a great idea, if it's too much risk with my wife and 15 month old daughter. I'm sure though that I need accountability, and that I don't have people running up and making me accountable. There aren't people around me challenging me constantly, because I'm not in a place where I have to raise the…See More

Working on a family project building a home, and internet relevance job and in the planning/startup stages of my business
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
End goal of this business is having a mobile bakery that I can be around my family and prepare bread and then sell it on the streets- fresh. I am looking for a schedule that I can dictate so I can make sure I am around my kids and wife when they need me.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
Personally, I want to become more active. I want to do a hike more than 60 miles, in the next 5 years I want to hike around the bottom of Mt. Rainier. I want to become a more avid reader at least 2 books a month

Welcome Skeeter!

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian
