Facebook fan page is becoming the new web page

Posted on February 19, 2011 at 3:03pm 2 Comments

Im starting to think that the Facebook fan page is becoming the new web page. Right now when it comes to getting your content out to your fans, I can think of no better way to do it then the Facebook fan page. Facebook is also where the people are! If I want to get a message out to the largest group of people on earth, then Facebook is where its at with their 600 million subscribers!

Aside from getting your message out, it's also an amazing way to get information. If I find…

Gift Giving

Posted on December 5, 2010 at 2:14pm 0 Comments

December is here and the Christmas season is no doubt underway. This time of year can be both very exciting and very stressful. I love the idea of buying a loved one something special and then wrapping it up and giving it to them on the greatest day of the year. It’s fun and very rewarding to bring that joy to them. But I’m starting to wonder, have we taken it too far?

“I should buy so and so a gift because there’s a chance they might buy me…

Thanks for the clarification, Shawn. I have approved your group. Please take a look at the "how to" video on starting a group http://www.48days.net/page/get-started. It should help you with some basics. I wish you the best and encourage you to put a lot of energy into this, because the potential benefits to the community and you personally could be significant. Hi Shawn. I'm a groups admin here on 48days. Thanks for your recent inquiry for starting a new group. We have a group called "Maximizing Social Media" by Andy Traub on the site now. What would make your group unique from Andy's?

Thanks a lot,

There's no set length on how long your book should be, Shawn. When you know what message you want to convey, if you convey it, length doesn't matter. I'd rather get to the message in 100 pages than try to hang through it over 400 pages. If you outline it, try to stick with it through the climax at the end. Bring conflict and resolution together to keep people engaged and tell the story.

I'd also suggest on not waiting to build a following before starting a podcast. A podcast will help you build the following which will help market and sell those products. What will your podcast be about?

Hi Shawn,
Welcome to 48days. This website has been a valuable resource for me on clarifying my goals and meeting new people. I hope it does the same for you.

If you are interested, I'm building a discussion group that will do a 30 blogs in 30 days challenge for November. The goal is to generate drafts of future blogs, learn more about blogging along the way, and clarify blogging goals. I'm just getting the group started and you are welcome to join if you are interested.

Currently, I'm building a blog that will help homeschool families build portable businesses and utilize travel to teach.

Have a great day,
Brandy
