Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about the community through Dan's podcast. I am hoping to learn from like minded entrepreneurs and provide value to the community.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Currently, I am Vice President of Community Partner Ventures with TechColumbus working alongside entrepreneurs who are building start-up companies.

I am passionate about mentoring and supporting entrepreneurs, helping them to determine how best to accomplish their goals. I have assisted entrepreneurs with nearly 1,000 pitches, helping entrepreneurs to hone their message and delivery to attract partners, employees and investors. Many of these entrepreneurs have raised funds from TechColumbus, angels and angel groups.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
My emerging mission is to help leaders leverage their existing skills and passions, focus on intentional personal growth, and develop a passion for impacting the world around them.

My goal is to move back to being an entrepreneur, within the next two years. To that end I am finishing an ebook on pitching and writing a book on what to do before, during and after pitching your business to maximize your opportunities. I have begun to accept more speaking engagements as well. In addition, I am attending relevant conferences to learn with and from like minded entrepreneurs.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
We have one son in college, one in high school and a daughter in 4th grade, so we are all about kids right now.

We begun traveling more with the kids and our third European trip is coming up in June & July, to France and Ireland. Greek islands cruise is tentatively planned for summer 2015.

I want to guide my kids into self sufficient lifestyles where they can pursue their own passions as entrepreneurs. Living that lifestyle as an example is a high priority.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am good at coaching my clients as they grow their businesses, and definitely want to enhance my skills and incorporate coaching and masterminds as parts of my revenue streams.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
I am writing a book on what to do before, during and after pitching your business to maximize your opportunities. It is tentativley titled "Nail Your Pitch!" I expect to self publish in August/September and am currently in the second drft stage with colleagues reviewing the draft and offering suggestions for improvement.
Feel free to share your Twitter name, Facebook page, and any other social media way to connect with you!
I can be found just about everywhere on the web. Start with my homebase, www.RickCoplin.com, specifically www.RickCopln.com/about-rick.

Welcome Rick,

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, it sounds like you are interested in writing. If so, consider joining the Write It Forward. There are some great discussions going on that will likely be very profitable for you.

Plus, you might want to check out Speak It Forward as well. It's another group I'm involved with that has a lot of activity taking place.

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian

Hi Rick,

Thanks a bunch for the cool reply to my welcome message to you. I live for that kind of feedback, and that's a huge reason why I like being the "Wal-Mart Door Greeter" of the 48 Days community! :)

Thanks again, and I sincerely DO hope you find lots of goodies, and LOTS of friends/mentors here in THE community of "rule benders, and world changers!" :)

You brand new friend in the process,

Hi Rick - Welcome to the 48 Days community. We're glad you joined.

This is the idea and social networking site for people that want to create their own opportunity or find the work they love.

I've been a coach under Dan's tutelage for about seven years and have been a member of this community since pretty much day one.

There is a wide selection of discussion groups to get involved with. If you'd like to take a peek at mine, "Raise your Game", here you go

An easy way to get started is by visiting the handy get started tutorial page. You'll find how-to videos and suggestions.

In gratitude,
