How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
My path to 48Days.NET = Dave Ramsey Podcast + 48 Days to the Work You Love (Book and Podcast) + 48Days.COM
I am looking to turn something that I have been doing naturally in my life for years into a formal income generating business and in the process have some flexibility that has been missing in the past.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Currently I am a self employed IT consultant focusing primarily on project management, technology leadership and vision/strategy engagements. I have just finished an 8 year long engagement at the same company and am taking a little break in between starting another engagement to really look at building something new and more fulfulling. I will probably need to take more IT work in order to bridge the income gap while my coaching gets off the ground but I want to get a foothold started.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I would like to eventually build multiple income streams not all of which are tied directly to my time, this has been a limiting factor in my income generation from IT consulting additionally I want the flexibility to be able to work from any location rather than being tied to a specific office location.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I am relatively newly married (2+years) with two older children from my first marriage and a step son who is 4 years old from this marriage. I am constantly looking for ways to improve in all things and being able to meet the varied needs of my blended family is one of them. I want to continue to build a fabulous marriage as a solid foundation for anything I pursue as well as being there as part of my husband's foundation as well. Additionally, being a mentor to my daughter 23 and my son 21 who have much different needs than my step son. Being more available through regular visits (4-5 times per year) would be a great starting goal.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am a driver by nature, I am organized beyond what most people would call natural, I have a natural ability with numbers and finance including a degree in Accounting. I am a very logical person but I would also like to think that I have a creative mind as well that just needs to be tapped. I am always mentoring my project team members on everything from career development but more importantly the soft skills necessary to be a good team member, great at client facing activities, etc. I am also the person that all of my friends turn to for relationship advice since I translate my business relationship building advice into the personal quite easily. I think that I just need to pull this together into something that is a better service framework that can be targeted to the right audience.

You have quite the mixture of talents that will lend itself nicely to your coaching aspirations.
Developing a business around your best features and enduring qualities is what smart entrepreneurs do. Unfortunately, far to many, follow someone else's plan.
If you'd like, we can carve out a few minutes and talk about the best way to go about putting a well-laid plantogether. Is it normally easier for you to talk in the morning, or is afternoon/evening better in your schedule?
