Is failure the lack of success?

For those of you who listened to Dan’s Feb 08 podcast he spent a lot of time discussing failure, he asked the question is there a better word to use when something or someone doesn't succeed?
As the story goes, Edison tried 10,000 times before he “succeeded” in creating the light bulb. I don’t view those 10,000 tries as failures; I can picture Edison checking off an attempt that didn't work, but I can also picture him learning from that attempt. For example, if filament material…

I would rather instead about Toyota, specifically The Toyota Way. Like all car manufacturer's they are offering specials, but nothing as ridiculous as Hyundai. Toyota is a fascinating company to study, and “The Toyota Way" even more so. HI everyone
Thank you to all that have gone to my website http://www.icandosolar.com. It is easy to see what I am passionate about, solar energy, but with a slight twist. Most of the products I offer are DIY (do-it-yourself), products that a person can easily install without the need for an electrician. Shortly I will be adding passive solar products, products that do not have photovoltaic,again DIY products that will help you save money.

Newbie, with a new business

Thanks to Dan's plan and insights and Chuck Bowen's coaching I have open a new business. When I tell people I have started a new business I sometimes get the strangest looks and comments. Mostly they ask why would I want to start a business during an economic downturn? My answer is simple, why not! My decision to open a business wasn't based on a whim or a fluke, it took time, research, reflection and a willingness to look a myself, and learn who I am.
