Is the resolution working?

Is the resolution working? Then try this.   They say the percentage of people who achieve their resolutions are about 8%.  You may be thinking this is going to be one of those blogs that will fire me up to work harder to achieve my resolutions or one that reminds me that I have failed once again. I can throw out statistics that say if you do A+B=C every time (yeah sure it does, NOT)   you will do better.  We have been smothered with work harder, do more, do it better, that when we fail we say,…See More

Avoiding the Christmas spending High

Avoiding the Christmas spending HighWell its Christmas time again. Wow it got here fast as usual and if you did not save throughout the year you will be hopefully working it into your budget. Here are just a few tips to help you keep within your budget and not get carried away. It is easy to get into the mindset of its Christmas everyone is spending a lot, it won’t hurt if I do also. I have done it and come January I regretted it. You do not want to be paying for Christmas when it is time to go…See More

Beware of your habits.

Last week I issued a challenge in different areas of our finances. Budgeting, debt payoff and saving money.  Due to all of the changes in life, we have a lot of financial demands we tend to forget about. I thought I would throw a few hints to help us through the challenge and help you keep more of your money. …See More

What and Why

What and why     In dealing with people and their finances I not only teach them what to do with their money, but we have to understand why they got to this place financially. Everyone usually starts out thinking that they are broke because they don’t make enough or that one certain circumstance caused them to get behind and stay there.  Some times this is true, but not always.  If a person can add and subtract they have the head knowledge to know when to stop spending.  If financial problems…See More

Are you building a life or a prison?

Building a life or building a prison    I have always heard if you want total security, food, clothing, and shelter that prison is the best place to find these things. You will never have to worry missing out on these things in prison.  You will get them daily.   Our default mode in life is usually “play it safe” for ourselves and our families. In football they call it the prevent defense. It usually keeps teams from winning.   We always have that dream of what we want and we compare it with…See More

Just start somewhere

Saving – just start somewhere We don’t save like we use to for many different reasons. Here are a few statistics to help show where we are as a nation: 38% of American adults have an emergency fund. 41% save something regularly, $ 35,000 is the average amount saved for retirement in America. Out of people who do save for retirement only 18% feel they have enough saved when they do retire.  Now I can try to make you feel bad and list all of the other countries that do better at savings than us,…See More

How far would you be now?

How far would you be now?Do you remember when you were a kid and someone told you to go do something and you got half way to your destination and they called you back and asked you; I wonder how far you would be now if you didn’t turn around? Do you notice how we often do the same thing to ourselves by not doing what we set out to do originally?  We usually have an idea of where we want to go, or where we would like to be at certain stages of our life.  Things in life happen that “call us back”…See More

Hello Tim,

Earlier this month you provided some valuable feedback on my CareerClips idea and I'm wondering if I could have a few moments of your time to complete a brief survey.

You are already somewhat familiar with the idea but the survey contains an introductory paragraph that explains things in more detail. The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete and all results are confidential. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help. Here is the link to the survey:

Hello Tim:
I am doing okay, going through battles but holding on. I am dealing with issues regarding creativity and seeking God for help on how I can create income, even though I have been giving good ideas. Please keep me in your prayers, and I am thankful that you care.

Amen to that Tim! Since you're focusing on marketing, you'll want to also join Jimi Gibson's Personal Branding group here: http://www.48days.net/group/findyourbanana?xg_source=activity.

Be encouraged!
