This week I completed another milestone with my publishing. I purchased the ISBN/bar code for my book, Home Should Be Safe: Hope and Help for Domestic Violence Victims. It's already in the Licking County Public Library in Licking County, OH and will soon be in local book stores and on Amazon.com. - How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
- My son gave me a copy fo the book, 48 days to the Work You Love for Christmas. I have been a freelance writer for a little over ten years and would like to build that into my full time career.
- What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
- I work a full time job in a call center to support myself while I go to school online and build my writing
- And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
- My goal is to become a full time freelance writer.
I want to write for a variety of magazines.
I want to publish books.
I would also do business writing to make sure my income is solid and regular.
My goal is to make sure I have a way to earn a living no matter what happens with the economy or a specific industry.
My goal is to get up in the morning and actually like what I do for a living and not just go to a job.
- How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
- I want my writing to be very successful so I can have the freedom to travel and the freedom to visit my kids without having to "ask off" from an employer.
It would be nice at some point to find someone to share my life too but that's not a requirement. I learned a long time ago there are worse things than being single.
I've been single for enough years that even though I was always told I was too independant for my own good I get more independant as time goes on.
- What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
- I am a communicator. The first thing I do when I am trying to resolve an issue is to begin writing my thoughts and feelings about it.
I am passionate about things that are important to me.
I care about doing a job well.

Leap of Faith
