Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?: I've been reading and listening to Dan's materials since 2005 when Dave Ramsey turned me on to him. I became aware of 48Days.net by reading Dan's weekly eNewsLetter. Thanks in large part to Dan, I've already moved into full time self-employment in work I truly love. Now my goal is to take it up another notch by connecting with other like minded people to create something spectacular.

What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?: Self-Employed, generating more income than I ever did for the corporate behemoths I use to work for.

And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?: At this point, I'm striving to build margin into my work life the same way Dave Ramsey's materials have helped me build margins into my finances.

How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?: This year (2009) I'm running a 1/2 marathon in late April, and a full Marathon in October. I've been overweight most of my life by 50 pounds or more. Now that I've been self-employed now for about a year and 1/2, I feel like I'm truly alive and for some reason, now have more motivation than ever to conquer the Goliath that has been my physical shape for nearly 30 years.

I feel like I've began to build margins in my finances, my family & work life, but I've remained physically bankrupt. For about 3 months now, I've invested more in this area of my life than ever before and I am seeing fantastic results.

What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?: I'm good with people and technology. I run a web marketing firm which grew out of my years as a web designer/developer working for other companies. Through the exploration process Dan Miller laid out, I discovered that though I am capable of programing web applications, configuring servers, designing web layouts & graphics, audio & video production, search engine optimization, and more...I'm truly best at the sales side of business consisting of listening to, connecting with, and prescribing the best solutions for peoples technology and web marketing efforts. Now, I am working on replacing myself as the center of my business (Winnovate.com) with systems that engage people to identify and move toward the work they love wile helping me with mine.

You know what, I would love it if I would just make some money doing what I love to do. I have designed my own line, but have no customers yet, I would also consider doing a private label for companies, or just doing some designing for a company. I just love to design clothing so it would be awesome if I could finally make some money doing it. I am not much of a sales person, but my designs are really nice and I can make patterns, sew and create designs for any age or size.
