Expectations

“Expectation is the root of all heartache”. This is one of those quotes that should cause us to pause and consider. When David wrote his Psalms, he would often interject the word “Selah” after an important verse. Selah means to pause and consider. We don’t see that in today’s writings or even in writings from Shakespeare’s…See More

Encouragement

Last evening we attended a high school Christmas concert that was wonderful. Our friend’s daughter had a solo in the concert. She did a wonderful job. After we arrived home, my wife complimented me on how complimentary, encouraging and engaging I was to Kristin, the singer. I really appreciated the feedback, although I felt I…See More

Stormy Seas

Stormy seas in our life can make us to feel like the young fellow in the picture. Being tossed about with a feeling of helplessness can cause very different responses in our behavior. Some panic, some row harder, some bale water, some just hang on, some jump ship and try to swim to shore and some will faint. Most of us have…See More

Mike I just wanted to reach out to you as Rob Clinton and I moderate the blogs. I wanted to point you to our Getting Started page which outlines the basics of our community http://www.48days.net/page/sign-up-1

I know you are very active on the blog site and I especially wanted to remind you of the Rules of Engagement Policy. Welcome Mike,

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

One thing I noticed on your profile is that you are self-employed. That is great! Keep up the good work.

Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian

Hi Mike,

Thank you for the message.

The best way to learn how the community works is to get involved in the discussion. We have an exciting one going on right now. We are encouraging and holding each other accountable in journaling our "successes" and "safety steps". Just like life - no lurkers, only participants.

They'll be an option for you to join the group if you haven't already. You'll probably find that option at the top middle or right hand side of the page once you get there.

See you in the discussion.
