Would i benefit from a coach

I have the idea and I know what i want to do in the short term and long term. My problem seems to be lack of discipline. In my day job I am very disciplined, I rarely miss work and if I do I give plenty of notice. I care about making our costumers happy and try do so everytime I deal with them. When it comes to starting something for myself , it seems almost impossible. I get home and family life kicks into gear and soon i am completely drain of energy and focus. I used to be able to get up…See More

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
heard about Dan Miller , listening to Dave Ramsey podcast and searched for 48 days.net. I hope to get enough information and encouragement to go forward with my dream of becoming self employed and start enjoying life instead of just living it
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am currently an employee. A very tired employee!
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
My goal and dream is to become self employed with a workshop that I can build and create what ever trips my trigger. I also am thinking about teaching my skills to other people
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
In my personal life I want peace and relaxation. I want to be explore this world and all it has to offer with my wife and son.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I have been reading No more Mondays and I listened to the audio cds and I would say I am part eagle part dove and part owl. I like to be in charge and problem solving, I enjoy doing things right.

Ok here it goes update

I believe I have found an idea that will change my life completely and am in the process of planning it out . What I want to start is a instructional class on basic home repair. The class would be 75% to 90% hands on training instead of a long lecture. I am the type of person who learns by doing and I believe I can teach in this manner also. This will be small scale at first and with time will grow into a business that will provide me with the income I desire and the freedom to enjoy life rather than work 40 hrs. a week and spend the weekends trying to regain my energy to go to work again on Monday . I joined 48 days to get help with the planning part of this adventure because as I said before I learn by doing. I know if I can get this off the ground I will be able to correct any problems that arise make this this plan work for me and my family .

Update: The home repair classes never made to reality. I know why it never got off the ground. Teaching and being in the spotlight (so to speak ) is not really me. I am an introvert and do not like the attention.

I know what I want now

Posted on October 27, 2012 at 12:15pm 4 Comments

I believe the reason it has taken me this long, is that what I want goes against the "norm". Here is the timeline I am working out right now. By the first of the year no more day job and start working from home. The next five years will be spent acquire enough money to by 40 to 80 acres. once the land is bought and paid for I want to farm for my family and to help generate income. This is what I hear in my head when ever I say this to myself or think about it " You can't make a living that…

In February 2011 I joined this community with hopes of starting a new carreer. Unfortunately I did this out of anger and frustration with my situation at that time. I did not take time to calm down and make the right choices. Too much emotion involved. The past year and half have not been wasted tho. I have done some more looking inward and listening to more books and now I believe I am ready to make the next step to making the life I want not what life is handed to me.

 I have…

Welcome Matt,

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian
