Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I've read 48 Days, and hope to add value to the community with my experience, insights, and creative responses.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am vice-president of manufacturing and marketing for a startup tech firm. Even better, I own a small cleaning business that provides me with a small amount of passive income.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I want to grow my small business to produce more than $10,000 per month in income for my family.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I am looking forward to taking my son to hike the Appalachian Trail for his Senior Trip in 2019. Will be debt-free (thanks, Dave!) this December 2013, and super-excited to be taking the kids to Mexico for a weeklong vacation!!!

I'm also writing a book and blogging twice a week at sidwellstudios.com.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I can quickly absorb new information, assess a situation, decide on a path, and of course I am a problem solver. I like to look at the world from the big picture and make it better in everything I do. I create new ideas almost daily, and rarely have the time to act on them. This is my challenge.

My life can be viewed best in seasons. One season I'm incredibly attentive to details, the next it's all about dreaming. I'd really like to achieve a steady state here.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
Are you interested in finding a better job, starting a business, growing your current business, writing a book, blogging, podcasting, coaching, speaking, sales & marketing, or something else?
Feel free to share your Twitter name, Facebook page, and any other social media way to connect with you!

The Power of Letting Go

I had a meeting today with a potential client today.  Actually, they were former clients, we had just never met.

The gig was for my social marketing business.  Their business?  Mexican restaurant.  A really good one, at that.

How come we never met before if they were previous clients, you…

Three Reasons Never to Work Solo

No doubt you've been tempted to avoid doing certain things. Maybe out of fear, or lack of knowledge about the subject, or you're just too busy.

The Renaissance Man model, however, dictates that we must be self-sufficient in all ways, in order to be successful.  We must build our own cabin, chop our own firewood, kill or grow our own food, and birth our own children.  In modern terms, it looks more like this: buy our own estate (often way before we're financially…

Welcome in and thank you for the invite. I am blessed to hear that our story in the No More Monday's E-book resonated with you.

I look forward to connecting more as well. My 3rd marathon is in May but ...an ultra-marathon? We need to talk. I know you will find this group positive and informative.
