Spend. Eat. Watch. Click. Play. Try.

The messages are everywhere…most of them maybe not as blatant as the insert photo, but they are constant and omnipresent nonetheless. Our culture is one that loves progress, adores consumption, and abhors frugality. To intentionally plan on spending less, or to suggest an un-planned moment is foreign to the modern mentality.  Every moment is double-booked, […]

Wash Your Hands!

This topic remains high on the food safety radar and won’t ever go away…hand washing and cross-contamination are paramount.  It’s a simple task that supports the preventative approach and it’s still the main reason we get sick, and make others sick to this day. The founder of hand cleaning was committed to a mental institution…it’s […]

New Year. New You?

The cold hard reality is that we become what we are…and that we are what we work at; over time.  If you ever want to change, you have to start and a New Year’s Resolution probably isn’t the best way.  It might be the best time…especially if you want to look back and recall your […]

Aggressive Observation

The cover story of the 12th October 2015 issue of Time bravely asks, “What if I decide to just do nothing?” There are some interesting sentiments in the article, that fully align with the values of our DrDIY philosophy of better understanding your health, and owning the outcome of the very personal decisions of health care.  A […]

Hi Dr. Smith!
Thanks for reaching out! Let's talk when you have time. My hope is to create an opportunity for Private label for practitioners with as few as 24 units per order. I have some manufacturing relationships that may allow for that size volume for private label.

Feel free to call me some time: 772.202.8216

Be well!

Thanks, Lee. I appreciate your insight. The group approval process is lead up by Rob Clinton. Among other things, they look at the activity of the groups and had deleted a bunch about 6-8 months ago. We want an active site, and if things are sitting dormant without activity, it's hard for new members to figure out where to plug in.

Thanks for replying, Lee. And you're absolutely right. You've been great on this site, in fact one of our top people. If we only let our top people promote their stuff however, we become hypocrites. People begin to wonder why some people can promote their stuff and not others.

It might be worth exploring a new group where people can post links to their free stuff. When I think through that however, I don't think I'd join, just to get notified of free eBooks. That's my opinion and not that of the community, which is why we should perhaps explore it.

Would you join a group like that? And I'd like you to think of it in terms of a person NOT posting something. Because we'll have no shortage of people posting their resources. But will we have people honestly interested in being a member in order to download the next free eBook?

At the end of the day, we want the forums to be an active place where discussions are happening. We don't get that if people are only posting links to their downloads.

I'd love your feedback here, Lee. And thanks for understanding.

At 7:01am on August 21, 2012, Justin Lukasavige said…

Hey, Lee, thanks for posting on 48days.net.
The forums are specifically a place to ask questions and get advice from folks and we ask that you stick to getting feedback and avoid promoting your stuff. Your book looks great, but if we encouraged everyone to do the same, the forums would be filled with links instead of great discussions.

A better way to promote your book would be to reach out directly to the friends you've already connected with here and let them know about your book.

To avoid being deleted in the future, please remember the forums are a place to ask honest questions and get guidance from your peers. If you have questions, let me know.
