Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
per my husband -
advice on possible business.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Employee. Substitute teacher.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
Would love to work out of the home and be available to help daughter with children, available to help more at church and the community. Would love to meet the income I have now per month ( or more for sure) Average income per month is 750.00. (it really isn't worth being a slave to the phone waiting for that phone call to determine your daily schedule )
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
To be satisfied doing something I enjoy in the home. I completely enjoy subbing, been doing it for 21 years. Has been both exciting and frustrating - but things are changing. Dreams? Finding an avenue to do something I enjoy and stay at home and can go with me if we move.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I'm a big picture person. I see the big picture and can pretty much figure out how to get there easily. I do well working alone or a small group. I enjoy finding the details and the best solutions. I think quick on my toes and most of the time not stubbing them. I thrive on challenges where I know in time the result will be positive. I do people far better than technology by a long shot. I've been known to say Tell me what you want and you've it. Usually has something to do with some kind of social event or classroom situation. Example: Gave daughter a "renewal of vows" wedding - yes, a wedding because they had eloped and never had the church wedding - did that on 600.00 and in 2.5 months. It was beautiful..Example 2: Long term substitute gig...Environmental Science. How do I get 90 students to Busch Gardens, Tampa with little cost. I did a fund raiser the high school had never done before. The only thing 90 students had to do was bring money for lunch - they even had extra for an extra excursion...again, fantastic! (As a sub, we are usually not allowed to do field trips. I was with them from Oct - June.
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
I have been collecting devotionals through "oneplace" for about 2 years. I get about 6 a day and keep the ones that touch me right where I am. I keep on saying I'm going to print them and put them in a folder to glance back at, but haven't done that yet. My thoughts and desire is to take those and make them into a physical book or an ebook for women. The authors vary but are all sound christian authors with words to lift, ponder and pray on. I realize there are numerous devotional books. This one I have absolutely no doubt will touch souls not just minds. If I could name it and the name isn't taken it would be " Sweet Moments with Friends" Or "In the Stillness of His Voice". I know there are copyright issues but this is why I need advice. If this doesn't work, than I would seek other areas.
Feel free to share your Twitter name, Facebook page, and any other social media way to connect with you!

Welcome Laurie!

Glad to see you on 48 Days. This is a great community with a ton of helpful people.

Looking at your profile, have you considered being a freelance event planner? You could easily pick up 3 or 4 clients each month and meet your revenue goals. That would give you a lot more control over your schedule.

What's something you'd like to share that's not in your profile?

You really are part of a special community. Check out these interviews with fellow 48 Days Members:

As a new member of the 48 Days community, here's some resources that I've created that I think you'll find valuable and helpful:
