Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Writing / illustrating children's books so far has been a lonely venture. I am looking for support.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Employed at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I want to be able to supplement my retirement income with my children's books.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
Same as above - I hope to retire in 3 years.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am steady and have stick-tuitiveness. I am not afraid of hard work.

Hi Laura,

I just read your piece on doubt. I am very impressed! I, too, love to dissect life's intricacies with the Biblical scalpel. You do a wonderful job!

I also noticed your comment about wanting to write about your life with an alcoholic husband, single parenting, grandparenting, etc. You and I have some things in common!

I'm working on a website devoted to helping those who are dealing with grief and loss in any stage of life. My story includes abuse, a broken marriage, single parenting, and now widowhood and grandparenting.

I'm hoping to draw from my life experiences and my knowledge of God's Word to encourage others. I plan on a blog/daily devotional, e-products to sell, and a place for others to share their stories.

My goal is to have the first stages of the site online by Aug. 1. The domain is living-with-broken-dreams.com.

I want to encourage you to pursue your dreams. All you really need is a platform and a few good ideas.

Peter Brissette has a group on here devoted to websites that are profitable. He provided a link to sitesell.com. Great company for those of us who are not web designers, but have talent and passion. You might want to check it out.

Welcome and God bless!

Hi Laura,

I want to welcome you to the Write it Forward group. I'm glad to see you're already jumping into the discussion forum. I think you'll find it's a great place to bounce ideas off people. I'm trying to figure out how to set up a critique group - is that something you'd be interested in?

Hope all is well with you!

Laura, if you will contact me through my email (you have the address on my card) I will give you Rose's info again. I do know she has been fighting deadlines trying to get our book to the printer. She did that the end of last week. She told me she was not answering phone calls or emails during that time so she may be free to get back to you now. You might try to contact her again. And you may call me any afternoon. If you don't reach me leave a message and I will get back with you ASAP. Blessings, Joanne

Hi Laura,
I sent you a friend request so we can have a private chat. I'll answer some of your questions then. It'll be easier for me to keep track of our discussions. :)

Have a great evening.

Hello Laura,

Just noticed you joined 48Days.net -- WELCOME! It's a great site with tons of great people.

If you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out the following groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place.

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

One other thing…I want to offer you a gift. You can download my FR EE e-resource entitled Goal-Setting That Actually Works! by joining the REAL Success E-Zine community at www.liveitforward.com. It's a growing and dynamic community of people striving to live WAY BEYOND their average in the most important roles of their lives. I think you'll get a ton out of both the Goal-Setting product and the REAL Success E-Zine. And again, both are absolutely free.

Looking forward to connecting with you!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian

Hi Laura,
Welcome to 48days. I hope you find this site to be as valuable as I have.

I too am a writer. I currently homeschool my kids and work as a part-time web designer. I'm transitioning my career to writing a homeschool travel blog.

Have a great day.
