How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I read Dan's book and was completely floored!! It was just like he had been watching me each day drag myself out of bed, drag myself to work, drag through the day, until finally at the end of the work day the real me came to life and I got to do what I love, with the people I love to do it with. I was lost in my JOB, not knowing where to go. The "vocation" concept is what really caught my attention. I know there is a very real "calling" out there that I am to find. Now my quest is to find it and start fulfilling it asap!
I hope that being around faithful, positive people and a community of believers will awake my creativity and point me toward "my vocation"!!
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I currently manage a liquidation company for a friend. Work way more than I care to and hand all the profit over to someone else.
I do have a small handyman/construction
business I do on the side. It helps pay the bills and would love for it to grow large enough to support my family and many others
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
To enjoy Monday mornings as much as Sunday mornings.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
My Dad was at all of my baseball games, either watching or coaching. He always seemed to have enough money, he was not weathly by any means but always seemed to have enough. I'd love participate in the lives of my kids and the lives of their friends the way my Dad did.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I love to help and be around people. I love to talk with people. I love to build and create and think I am pretty good at it.
I also love helping others get what they want and seeing them succeed.
I've spent a lot of time working with youth and find their progress and success a great joy as well.

Hi Kevin -- Welcome to the 48 Days community. We're glad you joined.

This is the idea and social networking site for people that want to create their own opportunity.

Have you started to put together your plan yet for growing your handyman business?
There's definitely a call for that.

Depending on what your interests are, there is a wide selection of discussion groups to get involved with.

One group that is worth looking into is 180 Service Station.
Good stuff going on in there.

Another group you'll want to stop by is the 4 points coaching compass. That's my group.
We are having a good discussion about finding purpose and you are welcome to join in.

Kevin,

Just noticed you joined 48Days.net -- WELCOME! It's a great site with tons of great people.

If you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out the following groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place.

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

One other thing…I want to offer you a gift. You can download my FREE e-resource entitled Goal-Setting That Actually Works! by joining the REAL Success E-Zine community at www.liveitforward.com. It's a growing and dynamic community of people striving to live WAY BEYOND their average in the most important roles of their lives. I think you'll get a ton out of both the Goal-Setting product and the REAL Success E-Zine. And again, both are absolutely free.

Looking forward to connecting with you!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian

Kevin -- Welcome to 48Days.net. I'm delighted reading one of my books stimulated your thinking -- sounds like it was a wake-up call that you welcomed.

I developed the concept of 48 Days to help people have a reasonable timeline for making real change in their lives. And yes, I’m convinced 48 Days is a long enough time period to evaluate where you are, get the advice of people you trust, decide what your best options are, create a plan, and ACT.

This site is the place where you can get advice from people you trust. You’ll find this to be a warm, encouraging and innovative group. It's exactly the kind of community you describe. Many of the members here have already found their focus and are up and running with work that is meaningful, purposeful – and profitable. Whether you are arriving here with your business fully formed or are still in the beginning stages – just stick around. This group is full of great ideas and strategies to make them come to life.

Thanks for being part of the 48 Days family. We’re glad you joined us! Dan Miller – 48 Days
