Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Podcast
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Employee at software firm. Building an internet consulting firm, web sites that generate income, and a SaaS based application.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
The dream is to bring myself, who I am, and work life closer together. To blur the lines of work and the personal me. To have more fun, to build purpose, and to help change the world for the better.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
Dream is to own a Media Farm. The media barn is what I envision for a media production facility. If you think of Menlo Park and Thomas Edison, he had what he called, an "Invention Factory." This future media barn would have a main goal, to help build purpose in the lives of individuals and groups. The media barn would not be an Invention Factory, but more of a Creative Factory.

The barn would be a place to engage in various creative activities to allow the imagination be free. Then also be a place where the playfulness of imagination is harnessed and turned into actual content and products for the marketplace.

Does that makes sense? Here is my inspiration. http://www.bearcreekstudio.com/studiotour.htm
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am wired to be light-hearted.

To know me... you can take a look at my core values: Groups, Creativity, Learning, and Abundance.

My Great Gifts, are story telling and engagement.

My Noble cause is to help individuals and organizations find purpose and well-being in life.

How will I accomplish this noble cause? By knowing myself, my values, my story, my great gifts, and my noble cause. Mix these factors up and make a difference in the world!

To Date or Not to Date?

Posted on November 10, 2012 at 5:06am 1 Comment

Hey Everyone,

This blog post is about a small aspect of an online publishing strategy. The question I have been asking myself is simple... Should my blog posts included a date and time stamp?

When I started building sites over ten years ago, publishing the author information and date time stamp was not a priority. When blogging and Wordpress became popular, the date and time information started to become very common.  As I have continued creating websites all these years, I am…

Hi Jeremy,

Good to hear from you. Thanks for the message.

I love the idea. You were very clear.

What types of media do you already have your hand in? We do a ton of podcasts and author/speaker expert interviews

By the way, here is a link to my other Finding your Voice community. For some people it works out better since you're able to post from you phone. It's a Google community which means no long lines, no time-consuming forms to fill out, one click and you are there. Take a peek when you get a chance.

Hello Theresa,

Thanks for the blessings... and 48 Days is just that! I have been looking for a positive group of people to talk shop with and feel like 48 Days fits great!

For swimming, I will ask my wife for a good reference. She is a full-time masters coach on our team here in Indy, www.indyswimfit.com Mel Goldstein started our program and he wrote a book, http://www.amazon.com/Swimming-Past-50-Ageless-Athlete/dp/0880119071 Not sure if that is geared towards stroke. To combat boredom... form a group. Find a few people that enjoy swimming, find a written workout for guidance, and swim together. Group swimming makes a world of difference. I will try to send you some written workouts.

My wife and I are going to start an online resource for adult swimmers that enjoy swimming. It should be up and running this year. You are so right in noticing how everything is competitive based.

Would love to visit Montana. I just met some Natives from Rocky Boy last month. My family is from Leech Lake, MN and we are Ojibway/Chippewa. The language is something I have been studying for many years. Its Anishinabe.. from the Algonquin family of languages. Good stuff.

Miigwech nibowa niji-ikwe, banimaa apii! (Many thanks friend, will see you later!)

Hi Jeremy! And thanks for the friend invite. :) Wow---I love your interests. I enjoy lap swimming...can you recommend a book that would help me with improving my stroke? The books I got from the library are all geared to competitive swimming and all I'm interested in is finding things to work on to prevent boredom. I was looking for something like, a Swimming for Dummies but didn't find anything on Amazon.

Also- Way cool about the Native American languages. We enjoy reading about the different cultures. We're from Montana and miss seeing Native Americans around here in TN! Are you Native and if so which nation?

Bless you and welcome to 48 Days!
