I hope this is the right place to put this since I want everyone to see this.  I want to say "Thank you" to everyone on 48days.net. You all have been such a blessing to me in helping me to start this journey.  Since I have switched from lawn care to natural farming and gardening I haven't made any money yet (Mainly since the growing season hasn't started yet) but I have had so many more doors open to me than ever before.  Even though we are in the very beginning stages I already consider…

I know I've written in before and am always asking about a wide variety of subjects.  I am interested in alot of different things and want to do alot of different things but I feel the thing I know most about and like doing the most is lawn care and landscaping.  As a part of my lawn business I help people get vegetable garden growing.  I will be teaching a couple of  gardening classes in January and would like to sell some of the gardening products I build.  One of those products is a…

I'm Stuck

I am trying to get my own lawn care business off the ground.  Although I've been mowing grass since I was a little kid this is the first year I've done it as a business instead of a hobby.  The problem is the more I try to grow and expand my business the more my equipment breaks.  I am trying to do all of this without debt.  But next year I am going to pretty much have to buy all new(different) equipment to replace broken. Does anyone have any ideas how to move forward.   I am falling way…

Hello Jeremy,

I see you are already getting lots of ideas on self-publishing.  Here is a link to a blog that I wrote about the steps involved:

My Blog

As you can see this is a big topic!  There are a lot of things to consider but the main thing to start is: Who is your ideal audience for your book?  How do you plan to reach them?  That will drive your choices in publishing.  Let me know if you have more specific questions.  Many blessings!

Hi Jeremy!  You want help with a children's book? I have written and self-published four so far, based on the personality styles of children.  First you need to determine your audience. What age group do you want the book to speak to?  That will determine what you need to do about layout and illustrations.  Do you have an illustrator?  I used Rose Gauss but not sure she will do any more projects for awhile. She is working on some of her own.  But there are a lot of illustrators in the 48 Days community.  Your illustrator can help you do the layout and get it print ready.  ARe you planning to self publish or market to a publisher (which is very hard for any book muchless a children's book).  Join the writer's groups in the community if you haven't already. You can get tons of information there.  Kent Julian's Write it Forward is a great group.  Also, our Innovate events here at our place are incredible venues for getting info on how to brand, sell and market your books.  Also great for networking with other authors.  Let me know if you have specific questions you want me to answer.  You might want to join my group, Be Your Finest Art....... Blessings, Joanne
