- How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
- I'm a huge Dave Ramsey fan and after hearing about 48 days from his show, I decided to check out the website. I've just subscribed to the podcast and am very excited about the ideas that I'm hearing. I haven't read the book yet, but it's in the mail. I was laid off from a very fulfilling job 2 years ago and because I was single and had bills that had to be paid, I landed into a position that supports me, but is not exciting. I've always toyed with the idea of starting my own business and with my husband's support, I feel like the time is right to start pursuing that. I am hoping to find a network of like-minded individuals that are pursuing their dreams to help me stay on task and encouraged.
- What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
- Employee and generating other income with photography on the side.
- And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
- While I was looking for full-time employment, I worked several part time jobs to stay afloat. One thing I did was to take photos for those in my network. I took baby photos, engagement photos, I even had the opportunity to shoot a small at-home wedding for a co-worker. I have enjoyed photography as a hobby for years and I would like to pursue a serious career as a photographer. As a graphic designer, I have a lot of experience in photo editing, and especially enjoy being in charge of the process from beginning (taking photos) to end (editing and printing them).
- How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
- For the past 9 months, I've been working toward my end goal of running a marathon. I began training with a personal trainer at the gym and ran my first half-marathon in October. Besides this, I'm focusing on excellence in my life, and my new husband and I are focusing on our goal of saving for our first home purchase.
- What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
- I am just starting to get my head wrapped around this. I took a DISC Personality Profile test recently, which showed that I'm strong in Steadiness and Compliance. I tend to be a good leader and project coordinator. I'm very focused on structure and following proper processes and procedures when taking on projects.

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.
One thing I noticed on your profile is you are a huge Dave Ramsey fan. He gives great advice and has helped many people become very successful.
Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!
