How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about Dan while listening to Dave Ramsey.

My goal is to help people incorporate health and fitness into their lives.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
IntensityForLife.com is dedicated to inspiring and empowering people to lead active lives.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
To change the general definition of fitness. It isn't about going to the gym two to five times per week so you don't feel guilty while watching TV. Fitness is about challenging your body in a controlled way so you can experience life. Wouldn't you rather be the one telling stories about what you did over the weekend, rather than listening to others and wishing it was you?
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I completed my first mid-distance mountain bike race. It was an awesome learning experience, and opened my eyes to how much more work I have to be competitive.

With autumn creeping into life, my brain is starting to focus on preparing for the snowboarding season. Hoping to challenge my abilities and progress.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I love digging in to challenges. Learning how people think allows me to relate to their perspective. I enjoy getting to know how someone is approaching a challenge and looking for ways to empower them to overcome the challenge.

Thanks Jake, I know you'll make it.  I'm seriously thinking about starting a personal finance group here.  I think it would be a great fit.

Hello Jake, Thanks for your welcome to the 48days community.  I am kind of doing two different things at the moment.  One I am a Licensed Acupuncturist, and I also teach Kung Fu and Tai Chi. So I do help people live healthier and improve their health and wellness. We do have a Tai Chi DVD that we have for sell which I would really like to market better and scale it, do you have any ideas for that?

The other business that I do on the side is an international business. I am a manufacturer of dog leashes, collars, and harnesses with factory in China.  I am the US presence here for the Chinese factory and would like to really get this business going.  My main problem is meeting buyers of companies,  we are not retail so everything I sell will be in large quantities.  Many of the brands that come out of our factory are already in the big box stores.  I would like to get what we are making into those stores as well.  Do you have any ideas for that?  Anyway, thanks for your interest and help.

Hey Jake, thanks! I appreciate your feedback and help in getting connected to groups. I am after the same thing in wanting to pursue ways to create that freedom for myself and my family. Your group sounds great. I'm in that season right now of young kids and marginalizing exercise. I will look into it for sure.

If you have time, check out my blog I would be grateful for any feedback you can give me. FeedLeaders: Helping Christian Leaders not burn out but stand out

Thanks Jake!  It's nice to see Wisconsin well represented here!  My wife graduated from UW-Eau Claire and we lived in Menomonie for a couple of years when we were first married.  Love that area!  Looking forward to being part of the 48 Days Community!

Jake,

Thanks for welcoming me to 48DAYS!  I think I will have to look into some of the groups here, maybe The Music Studio or Speak It Forward.

When I say "the emerging culture," I'm referring to the unchristian/post-christian culture that's come out in the last 30 years or so.  A lot of people refer to this as simply the post-modern, but I think it goes even deeper than that.  This culture is centered around technology and consumerism, and both of those play big roles in the spiritual fabric of this generation.  So, how does the church reach them?  It's a big question and a big job.  Hopefully, I would find a way to do this through either word or music.  We'll see!

Grace and peace,

  ~Matt

In regards to the pvc, sure just play with it and see if it works. For me dowel rods work best and the price is close to the same. As for the kits I hope to do something by beginning of summer. We'll see.
