I want to encourage men to get out into wild places. I see many men and young men these days afraid of, or unfamiliar with, the wilderness. It is important to go there for renewal and focus. What do I want men to get from this?
I want men to get out into and enjoy the wilderness. I want them to enjoy the sounds, sights and smells of nature. I want them to be comfortable there and not be afraid. I want them to go with purpose to connect with our Lord. This may be either to hear their divine calling for the first time or to reconnect and be re-focused and encouraged to continue their journey with the Lord. I feel a strong and consistent calling to get men outdoors. There is a huge outdoor deficit among men today. They are afraid or intimidated or just don’t get how important it is.
I also see a huge father hunger among men for their own fathers, and doubts about fathering their own children.
