Time Opportunities

So I picked up an eBook the other day called Goal Getting, by some bald guy ;) Good book. I've nearly finished it, but it made me think about time. We all have the same amount in a day, yet some people get WAY more accomplished than others. These people rarely, if ever, say I have too much going on to get this done. Why you ask. They not only plan their time, but they have identified where they have opportunities to maximize their time.Let's face it, Time Opportunities is the PC way to say ways…See More

I had planned another topic for my second post, but this seems more important now.So it appears that my adventurous side may be getting some free time to think about my options, and my predictable, security-seeking side is not happy about it at all.I recently interviewed for what is essentially my job, the title and duties are changing, but it is in the position I hold. Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about 48Days.net while reading 48 Days to the Work You Love. I love teaching and helping people and I feel like facilitating may be my calling.
I'm hoping to take the best ideas and make them my own to be successful and help others.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I'm a state employee.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I want my wife the flexibility to stay home if she wants and the flexibility for myself to be there when my kids need me to be there.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I want to run my own business. I think this goal will get more specific with time, but running my own business has always been a dream
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I'm an influencer, according to the personality profiles I have seen. I love to talk to people, and can be very passionate and persuasive about things I feel strongly about.
I offer the other perspective. I try in all situations to try and view it from the other person's perspective. This helps people identify with someone else, not always agree, but remember that there is always another side to the opinion.

Multiple Personalities

There seems to be two distinct sides to my personality. One side likes everything to be safe and predictable. Nice 8-5 work schedule, paycheck every two weeks. The other side is more interested in not working a traditional schedule, being free to pursue whatever may come along.

For a long time, I have felt a pull to try something of my own. To try to find my purpose. Something to make my family's life and other people's life better.

I've always been told,"do something you love,…

Hi Eric -- Welcome to the 48 Days community. We're glad you joined.

This is the idea and social networking site for people that want to create their own opportunity.

I'm curious, if you could have any type of business what would it be and who would be your ideal customers?

Depending on what your interests are, there is a wide selection of discussion groups to get involved with.
