Poised for Fitness & Nutrition Coaching

Hey Everyone, I have a question for anyone out there that might have an answer (I know there is plenty of ready advice on this page)!  This is my first discussion post, so forgive me if I ramble, haha. So, one thing I know I am good at, very knowledgable on, and have plenty of advice to give people is fitness and nutrition, especially when it comes to bodybuilding and conditioning.  I get a ton of requests for advice and I always have guys coming up to me at the gym for recommendations on…See More

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about 48Days.net from Dan's podcast and have been here before, but never signed up. I'm one who has several interests and needs to find a focus for those interests and skills. I hope to find advice and support from others out there who are in the same situation, or have found a focus and can give me some advice!
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am currently a weather forecaster in the United States Air Force.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I am very interested in business. I have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, and am very interested in entrepreneurial ventures and the big business lifestyle. I'm driven to manage, lead, guide, and help people, and my goal is to find something that I can do where I'm doing this on a daily basis.

I have a few big "dreams"/goals. First is to become a professional natural bodybuilder. I'd like to build multiple income streams around this including fitness modeling, endorsements, and personal training. I've started a website called "theeverydaybodybuilder.com" and have started blogging using this model. It's just in the beginning stages now.

The 2nd dream I have that is more dream than goal right now, is to write and record music. I do this as a hobby already and this is where I find most of my passion lies. I totally get lost in writing music and I love it! As of right now, this is more of a dream than a goal, but I do have a few plans to begin making money in this direction as well.

Another dream is to own a producing/recording music studio.

Being self employed and doing what I love is the main goal!
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
A personal goal is to become a millionaire in my lifetime and be able to pass on wealth to my family tree! This is actually a shared goal between my wife and I. We are currently working toward this and have some loose goals in place.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I'm very good at relating with and interacting with people. I'm very knowledgeable in health and fitness. I am also a skilled drummer and love music. I write well, I'm organized, I'm creative, and I'm good with money. I'm friendly and outgoing, and enjoy meeting new people.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
The Everyday Bodybuilder is a personal training service I am trying to get up and running. If you have fitness or nutrition questions, you can go to my website at www.theeverydaybodybuilder.com and read my posts, check out workouts that I post up there periodically, and email me with questions about workout routines, nutrition, or anything fitness related.

You are invited to make yourself at home in our coaching circle and join in the conversation.

A paid MBA education sounds like a good deal.

Hi Dylan,

First and foremost, thank you for your service.

I'm hearing you do a few things, PT certification and possible grad school; I'm also hearing you postpone the development of a biz plan that has the potential to take you to a new and better place.

I'm curious, why are you drawn to grad school? What would you say is the main purpose?

Hello Dylan,

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian

Hi Dylan -- Welcome to the 48 Days community. We're glad you joined.

This is the idea and social networking site for people that want to create their own opportunity.

I'm curious, how far along are you on your biz plan for your training business? When I was in grad school, I found a lot of success and fulfillment as a trainer.

Depending on what your interests are, there is a wide selection of discussion groups to get involved with.
