How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Borrowed the book "48 Days to the Work you Love" from my husband. Desperatley needing a change from 15+ years of job hopping dead end jobs. I hope to find the confidence and direction to pursue my interests. Hoping to find advice and motivation to encourage my husband to do the same....
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Full time employee in a position that is completely opposite of my strengths and interests. I have job-hopped for the past 15+ years, never finding a "fit". The frustration level is thru the roof, while the self confidence is rock bottom.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I am seeking flexibility and security doing something that encourages my creativity, that allows me to contribute to our family finances and contribute in many other ways to my community. I need a sense of purpose and accomplishment each day that doesn't focus only on my needs. I need to interact and help others - to help make their lives easier and more enjoyable. I also want the flexibility to be more involved in my children's lives while they are young.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I am working on self-discipline and self-control. I am in desperate need to lose about 50 lbs! I basically need a complete physical, spiritual, emotional and mental overhaul.....and I've made up my mind that this is the year it all begins.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am creative. I like organization. I like to purge the things that are no longer needed and "clutter" life. I get bored easily and enjoy change. I like to help others, help make their daily existance more enjoyable/easier. I am a people pleaser and service oriented. I like to "check things off my list" - I like to see accomplishments and positive changes. I enjoy activity, movement, using my hands, using my mind, being busy. I can't stand to just "sit" in an office from 8 to 5 when there are things that need to be done, things I want to do! My favorite "a-ha" moment - I want to be paid for results, not for time. I hate punching the time clock and being "stuck" behind a desk.
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:

PS Also, in case you're interested, I offer a free resource entitled Goal-Setting That Actually Works! to those who join the Make The Move email community (also free). I think you'll get a ton out of both resources.

Don't forget to check out some of the discussions in my I'm Livin' Golden group. I'd love to get your insight and feedback. I'm anxious to see what you and your husband have in mind to move you out of your JOB's and into the life you're called to live. Please let me know if there is any way in which I can serve you.
This is a great place to collaborate with other people who are Living on Purpose, Pursuing Perfection, and Getting the Gold! If there's anything I can do to serve you in your endeavors, please let me know.
Also, I'd love for you to chime in on the discussions in the I'm Livin' Golden group! It would be great to get your questions, comments, and insight.
We were highlighted by Dan Miller as one of the 48Days.net featured groups. I hope you’ll take a moment to join in on the excitement!
I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.
Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!
Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:
