Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I'm a regular listener to Dan's podcast and attended a live event at his place in Franklin, TN.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I teach part time and am developing a consulting business in the area of 'cultural intelligence.'
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I want to expand my consulting business to include speaking on the subject of cultural intelligence and understanding; I also want to market content along these lines.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I juggle many hats and don't expect that to change, as I'm a believer in multiple streams of income; so my goal is to become better at juggling the various parts of my life and develop an income that supports my many passions, including international travel.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
With many years of international experience, I have insights on culture, including language (I'm conversant in 7), faith, arts (I'm a musician and directed an arts nonprofit for 11 years), and am a competent writer and public speaker.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?

Are you interested in finding a better job, starting a business, growing your current business, writing a book, blogging, podcasting, coaching, speaking, sales & marketing, or something else?

If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
I'm available to speak to your organization on the subject of cultural intelligence in an age of globalization.

A New Baby!

Posted on August 19, 2011 at 9:52pm 0 Comments

After many hours of sitting in my own classroom, so to speak, learning about merchant accounts and all the elements of the back side of the tapestry, the e-book is finally out of the oven.

If I were seeking help and encouragement about a particular subject I was preparing to study, I wouldn't…

On Goal Setting

One of my mentors in this season of my life is Dan Miller, a life coach with a very integrated way of looking at life. Although he is widely regarded as a business and career coach, I refer to Dan as a life coach because he recognizes that your career is only one part of a much bigger picture called life. This has been my approach for many years…

The Impulse to Thank

Posted on November 20, 2010 at 8:50pm 0 Comments

Since before recorded history began, man has had an instinct to thank. Most often, this looked like what you and I would likely label superstition: the top 3 recipients of thanks would probably be ancestors, invisible spirits or deities, and nature -- whether the stars, the universe, or Mother Earth.…

"DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH?"

Posted on October 19, 2009 at 1:17pm 0 Comments

One great way to develop cultural intelligence is learning a foreign language. This can seem like a daunting task for many, though, and I've just begun a manuscript on how to approach learning a language in such a way that you'll feel the richer for it, not ready to hurl yourself off the Eiffel Tower.

I thought I'd give you a taste by sharing the (working) introduction with you:

I was living in the French-speaking area of Switzerland, where an American associate of mine… Continue

Hey David,

Just noticed you joined 48Days.net -- WELCOME! So glad you became a member. Sounds like you are a communicator and interested in speaking and writing. If so, consider joining the Speak It Forward group and Write It Forward group (links below). There are some great discussions going on that will likely be very profitable for you.

I also want to offer you a gift. You can download my FREE e-resource entitled Goal-Setting That Actually Works! by joining the REAL Success E-Zine community at www.liveitforward.com. It's a growing and dynamic community of people striving to "live it forward" in the most important roles of their lives. I think you'll get a ton out of both the Goal-Setting product and the REAL Success E-Zine. And again, both are absolutely free.

Okay, here are those groups I mentioned. Check them out:
* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

Again, glad to have you here at 48Days.Net.

Live it forward,
Kent Julian
