Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I learned of this great site by listening to Dan's podcast. This is a great forum.

Now, what do I want to get out of this community? Well, I would like to learn more and have discussion on the workings of business be that the management, marketing and building for success. Another couple of avenues I have an interest in learning is podcast, newsletter and how to build a client list. I do have an interest in the 48 Days seminars as well.

I sure am glad there is an edit button here! I have pretty much gone back to the coaching business and am pretty excited about it. Now, the coaching I am looking at is helping people find their passion again, find the fun in life and help bring their dreams and passions to the real world. I enjoy chatting about peoples' ideas on what they would do if they had that mysterious million dollars and bringing these "crazy" thoughts a real pathway to becoming real. Another aspect after becoming a 48 Days Facilitator, I may extend that to help coach on building a simple Wordpress site.

People have found me out to ask my opinion of business or work ideas over the years and now I am accepting this as a great way to move towards my own business. I enjoy listing to Dan Miller, Chuck Bowen, Justin Lukasavage and others with their wisdom on coaching and business in general. I also quite enjoy reading the blogs and posts here on 48Days.net site. There is a tremendous amount of experience and advice here.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Employee. Currently working electronic publishing. This includes quality control of information, proofreading, editing, web site/DVD pre-production, audio and video editing.

Another aspect is the idea of coaching has been a common occurrance(?) over the years, I just did not know the term/definition. It became quite strong after FPU.

Not generating any income yet. I am working with a couple of friends to get some testimonials from them. I think that will help them as well as myself for the experience.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
The goal/dream is to be fully self-employed and debt free. Another portion of the goal is to be able to make or work the hours I deem the right fit for the family. I rarely make it to the various breakfasts the school has for our kids and I would love to change that. I would like to have the time and ability to have lunch with my wife and kids at the drop of a hat and not have to drive an hour back home just for that time.

It is that Definite, Major Purpose(s) that is being defined. Time with family, debt free, teaching and helping people find their passion and business, time for myself.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I would love to have more time with the family. As a family we would also love to be debt free, FPU Alumni here.

I believe that with pursuing business and passion coaching, I will fulfill what I daydream and dream about, helping people bring to life what they have a passion about.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I seem to have good insight to people and love talking and listening. The listening part is quite important and is often neglected in conversation, either personal or business. People come to me for guidance, ideas and clarification of their own ideas or goals. I do love helping people reach their goals and realize dreams.

Fishing or Catching

Posted on October 23, 2010 at 9:45pm 0 Comments

During lunch last week, I went fishing with a friend from work. In the span of an hour, he had caught two fish and I had caught some seaweed. On the way back to the office, we compared some notes. For one, I was just fishing with whatever I had on the pole. He, on the other hand had his fishing pole set up with just the right hook, bait and decent leader line plus an attitude of catching.

Of course, I have not gone fishing in about a year and my friend probably goes a few times a… Continue

You have a purpose.

You have a purpose here. You may not always see it, in the beginning. Others may not even see it, at first. You are designed, wired, created, whichever term you use to help put you in your place in this vast universe that brings you back to you.

Make a few moments out of your evening or early morning and step outside and look up. Notice I did not say “take”, but “make”. Make is a positive, creative and active event. Go outside when it is as quiet as your neighborhood will allow.… Continue

Have you made your Dream Board yet?

Posted on October 9, 2010 at 7:09am 0 Comments

Have you made your dream board yet? A dream board you may ask? Is it a surfboard? Well, I guess it could be, but not what one of my first clients created. She simply took a corkboard and decorated it with what she thought was important and made up her successful life design. She had made up her own PhD diploma with her name on it as well as pictures and articles of what she was interested in.

This is such a cool way to bring your dreams and passions to the physical world! Yes, you… Continue

Hi Darren,

Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog.

We are excited about the opportunity as well. Zig and I have been friends for about four years so it just makes sense.

How are you coming on your own biz opportunity?

The next issue of my newsletter will be out in a few days. 4 Points Coaching is a weekly. May we begin sending it your way?

Hi Darrenn,

Cool question! It's hared to tell how many dealers participated in the COPO (Central Office Production Order) program itself (that was the only way to get a 427 in a Camaro from GM), but probably the most noted "other" dealership that made their own version of the Camaro via the COPO program was Baldwin. Here's a link to an old page with some great info:

That being said, a new company is making "Baldwin" Camaro's now, though I have not heard much about them for a couple of years:

Are you thinking about building modern day Baldwin Motion cars? :)

Hey Darren! Nice profile. I LOVE your logo and the meaning behind it. I have three children, too. All boys! Are those geckos? I fell in love with them when I was living in Hawaii. They are everywhere.

Thanks for the update and your kind words. Looking forward to having you part of the personal history community. The APH is a great organization and I know you'll find lots of support there.

All the best.

Thanks for your comments on my wall. I love history too, but am curious as to what a personal historian is? Do you do genealogical research? I've never heard of a personal historian before. My wife and I are currently attending FPU and only have one debt - a home equity line of credit - we want to pay off. After that, completely debt free!

Hi Darren!

Thank you for your comment and your encouragement in my blog "Coincidence". I am particularly excited to connect with you because you are working to be debt-free. I am also a graduate of FPU and plan to complete Step 2 in 2010. Have you been successful with getting your teen on board? I have not. He thinks that he knows it all already. We'll see. LOL!
