"Think of Dan's own podcast. When he plays "Taking Care of Business," he has written permission to use it for his own show. He makes no comment about the audio in most episodes. It's a part of his production.
But there have…"
"Yes, cutting the rate would reduce the file size, and the audio would sound terrible.
If they aren't able to cover the costs, and they don't get a lot of downloads, then I suggest hosting on Archive.org instead."
"If you have your own WordPress website, you don't need FeedBurner.
PowerPress does a better job of adding the podcasting parts to your feed.
It's also very easy to redirect your feed if you own your domain and website.
"They're both good, but try shorter, simpler sentences.
I also recommend making it more personal with "we" and "you."
The "I Like Family Show" helps spouses and parents overcome the struggles of family life. We…"
"Unless you have written permission from the copyright owners, this would be a violation.
It doesn't matter whether you make money from your podcast or how much of the audio you use. It's still a violation.
The only way you can legally use…"
"A "slider" does something pretty for website owners and does something useless for website visitors.
It's a way of having multiple panels rotating in a space. It's also called a slideshow or rotator.

"Just because something is available free on the Internet doesn't mean you can copy it. But a small quotation is such a tiny portion of a work, that it's probably covered under fair use, especially if you comment on it.

"I'm extremely biased toward loving Social Subscribe & Follow Icons. It's the plugin I created for the need I saw for podcast, RSS, and social-network icons in vector format to look great at any size or resolution."
"No, there's no reason to move unless you need to change plans or need a more powerful server (due to massive amounts of traffic).

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about 48Days.net from Cliff Ravenscraft. I hope to learn how to better turn my passions into businesses and SHIP.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Self-employed freelance web designer, award-winning podcaster, and podcast consultant.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I want my freelance work to be fulfilling to my passions as well as my clients' needs. And I want my business to support my life with my new family.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I was married in summer 2010, so I want to have the time to always improve my marriage while better providing for my family as we seek to glorify God through the opportunities He gives us.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I'm creative at my core—so I'm great with designing websites, presentations, and podcast cover art. I enjoy public speaking and podcasting, and believe that I am able to make good connections with people and explain things well. I am an artist in the digital world.
I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.
I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!
Finally, it sounds like you are a communicator and interested in speaking. If so, consider joining the Speak It Forward . There are some great discussions going on that will likely be very profitable for you.
Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!
