"exercise is my favorite although it hasn't always been that way. I struggled for consistency when my family was young but finally made 5am work. Now it's been 15 years and that habit is ingrained. Nutrition is my weakness"

The Next Chapter

Last Friday was my last day of work. At least for now. I worked for the same company for over the last 30 years and although every day wasn't perfect I'm thankful for the opportunities it gave me. Graduating high school I never considered asking some of the questions Dan suggests. My only thought was who was hiring? If I had only known what I know now.At the same time I made the most of the opportunities I had, tried 4 or 5 companies before latching on to the last. Even while there I worked in…See More

The 2 best definitions I've heard come from Earl Nightingale, describing it as, the progressive realization of a worthwhile goal. The other from John Wooden who said, it's not about being better than anyone, but being the best you are capable of becoming.I was reading a devotion from David Jerimiah and he had a Henry Ward Beecher quote. No man can tell whether he is rich or poor by his ledger. It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich or poor according to what he is, not according to…See More

Christian, yet democrat???

As I was thinking of this subject I thought of oxy-morons, jumbo shrimp, pretty ugly, and bitter sweet to name a few.                                              Could the same thing be said of a Christian democrat. Now I'm not sold on republicans hook line and sinker. Actually somewould say I'm quite illiterate on politics. Here's how I sum up my knowledge on the subject as explained to me by afellow worker who happened to be a democrat. Democrats feel like everyone deserves a meal, or…See More

Criticism, America's Favorite Past Time

Growing up in Ohio it was only natural to grow up liking the Cincinnatti Reds. What memories I have of the Big Red Machine of the 70's. This year we were treated to another great year of baseball. The Reds came witin 1 game of having the best record in all of baseball. They then went on the road to win the first 2 games of their 1st round playoff series. It seemed obvious they'd be moving on, only needing to win one more game. However that's not what happened. They lost 3 straight and the…See More
