Do you have Green Hair??

I share this story in a class I teach and thought it was relevant to share to all. It made me realize when someone tells me something I may not want to hear, the best way to know it might be for my own good is when the hairs start to stand up on the back of my neck. Read on...

Hurt feelings between people can be very upsetting. How should you respond when someone comes to you complaining about being put down, or insulted by…

What makes a memory? Hint, it's not about the money-

In a recent book I read the author suggested thinking about all your Christmas gifts since childhood. How many could you remember? Probably a handful at best. Now think of experiences you enjoyed, any better luck recalling a few of those?

For me I reflect back on many nature walks my 2 sons took while growing up. The three of us accompanied by our dog always, and sometimes my wife, their mom. We'd always take snacks, and be gone for hours. There was an abandoned railroad…

Victim or Victor (an idea borrowed from Dan Miller)

In Dan & Jared's book Wisdom Meets Passion Dan shares a story titled, My Life's a Mess, where he tells his life story from 2 perspectives. He'd also shared it in a blog prior to that. At any rate I written my own version and teach the concept in a class I offer. Everyone that has done this has told me this exercise helped them imensely. After reading see if you can't write your own story in a paragraph, first from the victim viewpoint, then from the victor viewpoint.

Happy Birthday Red ( The Key to a Long Life ) don't catch the squirrel!

Today is Red's birthday. 13 years old, I think that translates into 91 dog years.

It's been a long winter here in the Midwest (Ohio) for us, especially if you're an outdoor dog. Now I have to admit we did bring Red into our breezeway to sleep for most of the last half of his life. It's not heated but it is protected from the elements.

He's outlived his siblings by several years. We thought we'd lost him just 6 months ago. He'd gotten to the point where he wouldn't eat…

Hi Chris,

You saw correctly. I started a group here on 48days several years ago called "Strengthen My Spiritual Life", but recently retired it to focus more intentionally on my website ministry: ReflectiveBibleStudy.com.

Thanks for asking and sending me the message.
