Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

Living for the dollar

Posted on December 15, 2008 at 12:51am 1 Comment

I am currently reading (actually listening to) a book about a very wealthy man in the United States. This man has made deals that would put most in shock. But after looking past the great deal of wealth, awesome business deals, and business ethics. The disturbing part of the book is that he is only doing so for the ultimate dollar. I had a hard time starting to listen to the book again today just because of that fact. I did, and only to learn more about the processes and reasoning behind some… Continue

Do your hands sweat?

I am all about innovation and changing the way we all think. But below is an article about a new product that well lets say I don't understand. Just check it out for yourself:

techshout.com: Thanko, a company known for its innovative products has rolled out a new keyboard. According to FarEastGizmos, the computer peripheral has a built-in fan to keep users’ hands cool.

Many times users’ hands sweat due to the prolonged usage of the keyboard, especially in the humid conditions.… Continue

Ice Vending

As you can see I like the vending industry. Its mostly low maintenance and less customer interaction. Another benefit while I plug the industry is that you can put off a big business look while you sit in your "office" at home and count your money.

I found (actually my brother found) a neat opportunity within the Ice Vending, yah I said it Ice Vending. Think of how many times you spent in the parking lot of a gas station or convience store banging a large bag of ice on the ground to get it… Continue

I don't know how many of you have been to a bar. Whether you hang out there daily or just every six months. But nevertheless you always see people who are arguing about how drunk they are and how the skinny one is a light weight. Well Better yet here is something that will also save lives. Some have been to the point where they just don't know if they are…

Some of you know what a Kiosk is and some do not. Well for those who don't a Kiosk is that small cart like "shop" in isle at the mall. Anyways, I was walking through the mall the other day and saw something that was pretty neat. Someone took a "claw machine" and modified it so that you could have 4 users at once, and made it into a kiosk. It got me thinking about what other types of businesses could be molded in a fashion that they also could be kiosks. Here are some of the benefits and… Continue

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I listen to the Podcast and am in the process of listening to all of Dan's great books
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I have a professional position but am going to school to obtain a degree to gain better pay and benefits.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I am striving to have no boss except for myself.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I have one child and would like another. I would like to be the best father to them as I can be.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am able to research a subject and find solutions. I enjoy problem solving out of the normal sides of business. Some come to me with issues when starting a business even though I have never owned one myself.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
