The world of an almost three year old is full of fascination, surprises, and pull-it-out-of-your-hat statements. The week before last we were blessed to have our oldest granddaughter, Danalyn, stay with us for a few days. We look forward to future visits with her, as well as her cousin, Naomi, and her sibling in the making, “Baby Silly Squirt” as she affectionately refers to the unborn child. Life has a funny way of coming full circle and this became evident to us this past weekend. Jackie and I traveled to Pittsburgh to take in a baseball game between the surging Pittsburgh Pirates and the Colorado Rockies. Although they lost the game we attended, the atmosphere at PNC Park was fun as the Pirates, who currently have the best record in baseball, appear headed to the playoffs after twenty non-winning seasons.
