Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I have a stained background. I've read Dan's books. I have talent in web application development and software engineering but lack marketing talents. I'm following my passion for coaching.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am employed full time working in legacy classic ASP, PHP, WordPress, and LDAP nearly matching my salary with my side job in small business custom application development with Microsoft Stack MVC. My first paying life champion participant recently found me.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I am going to be a Life Champion for others while also developing online resources in the same category. I'll help others with their websites/solutions and create SAAS applications that provide ongoing streams of income.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
God and family come first. I want to provide for them and spend time with them. I have started a ministry in Colorado to support, guide, and mentor men and women as they are released from prison in their reintegration to the community.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am very good with people. I have 15 years of successful top level athletic coaching experience. My analytical skills and attention to detail help me to see processes and procedures and find ways to improve and enhance them. I am a great coach mentor and life champion.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
http://brianseim.com, lifechampion.coach, evodynamic.com
Are you interested in finding a better job, starting a business, growing your current business, writing a book, blogging, podcasting, coaching, speaking, sales & marketing, or something else?
I'm beginning to blog to support my businesses. I have a few ideas for books--more for service than income. I've just returned to a new brand of coaching after 7 years off (professionally).
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
I build web applications and integrations that enable small businesses, clubs, and organizations to track and manage their data, members, and partners/customers/clients.

I Did It Now What?

Posted on July 25, 2016 at 9:48pm 11 Comments

I quit my job at the end of the month a week and a half ago. I left for a handful of reasons:

1. Salary 20% below par for experience and background

2. 1 hour commute each way and owner will not allow more than one day remote per week.

3. technology is disparate and legacy (I'm a software engineer)

4. I'm working on a team of 1

5. The company is not growing--since I joined 18 months ago most of the meetings are about how the company is not…

Hey Brian,

good timing.  I would like to get a website and was thinking about simply creating one on Wix or Weebly bc i don't know any better.  I am just trying to start a small, part-time business called 1-on-1 Sports Training where I basically teach young athletes the skills of their sports with an emphasis on the character behind being great.  I only want to do it part-time (i think?) and would just like a simple site to just explain what I do, maybe have a few testimonials of athletes I've already worked with and contact info.  Oh and by the way, I don't have any money!  Whattya think?
