Well we finally made it to Kindle. My wife and I have been working on putting together a collection of Sherlock Holmes stories to learn the process of putting together a book for the kindle. It has taken about two months with life happening in between. We made several errors and had to go back but are more the wiser for it. We wanted it to be edited really well. It seems most public domain books are poorly edited so it was really important to us that we invested in this area. We finally have it…See More

Great idea! I've been thinking along the same lines in my area of New York. I can't speak to whether this is profitable or not. But I see a need! When I travel, I love to send 'local' postcards back to my family &…"

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I learned about Dan through listening to Dave Ramsey's show. Dave was recommending Dan's 48 days book and I purchased a copy for myself. I joined the community after completing the book. I am sad to say however that I have not been a very active or productive member. One of my goals in 2013 is to connect and add value to the community and I believe doing so will add value to me.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I worked at Wal-mart as an assistant manager until October 2012. I chaged jobs due to stress and a few other issues. I am now a car salesman at a local dealership. I have learned a lot about the process and I am determined to learn what I can here and apply it to our family business. My wife is a photographer and runs her own business out of our home. I help in any way that I can and we would both like to see her business grow. I would like to start a business of my own as well but I am focusing on "What" I want to do at the moment.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I want to be able to spend more time with my family. I believe we all want that. I want to be debt free! We are already half way there. I want to be able to provide for my growing family. I want to be the me that I dream about and in 2013 I have defined goals that will make my dream a reality.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I want to get back into a helather lifestyle. I need to lose the rest of my weight and this is the year to make it happen. I want to read more this year than I did last year. I want to fish more as well. I really enjoy it but put it off so much because there are other things to do.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am a good manager. I like details for the most part. I am a very creative person. Ideas come easily to me. I enjoy working with people.
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
Check out our photogrpahy website. I would value comments and suggestions from the community on what we can do different/better all the time. We would also enjoy working with other businesses trading services. Let us know if there is anyway we can add value to what you are doing.

I chose the developer pack, because it gives you all the themes, and lifetime updates to all themes and access to all future themes, which is an unheard of great value for everything you get with studiopress themes.
Hi Brian - sorry for the delay in my response. Have not been on here in a while! I've actually gone in a different direction and have not done anything more with the inventory business. Your help was much appreciated though in helping me vet that potential path for me. Have actually sold a lot of my photo equipment as it was simply losing value sitting on the shelf! Thanks for checking in - what are you up to now? Matt
I wanted to send a quick welcome to the Write it Forward, Real Success and Profit for Writers group. We're glad you're here!
The group's discussion forum is packed with ideas, and is great place to get feedback on your work, ideas and questions. Jump into the conversations and let us know how we can help you reach your writing goals.
PS Also, in case you're interested, I offer a free e-resource entitled Goal-Setting That Actually Works! to those who join the Make The Move email community (also free). I think you'll get a ton out of both resources.
Hey Brian, really glad you opted to join The Frustrated Entrepreneur discussion! The journey to self-employment is not an easy one, but well worth the effort if that is what you are called to do. Hoping the best for you and your wife pursue your dream in photography! See you in the group!
Hey Brian - thanks for the follow up. I've actually been looking at this along with some other things, and so am in a holding pattern with it at this point. Not sure if this is the right time for me to start something like this, but I'm going to continue working on it. It may be something I build on the side while working a traditional job. Thanks and will certainly keep you posted as to progress. Thanks! Matt
I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.
Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!
Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:
What have been some of your favorite finds on the site? You are invited to make yourself at home in my group.
If you think it would be usueful to carve out some time, so we can talk about how we might figure out exactly where you strongest interests lie, I can have my assistant send you a quick email with some availability.
