Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I receive Dan Miller's weekly email and listen to the podcast. I want to encourage others and to learn from others on the road to living God's mission for their life. I've lived concurrent career tracks - one in the corporate world for major telecom and IT companies and another as a serial entrepreneur. I'm still wanting the latter to take off so I can feel more freedom, and I hope I can find the inspiration and motivation here.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Employee of a major, global telecommunications company. Outside of that, I have written a book, a couple of mobile apps, and I am trying to identify a platform to build a business around my lifestyle.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
A business around a lifestyle, just as Dan explains in his 48 Days workbook... Essentially, I would like to have self-sustaining enterprise that would give me more freedom to pursue time with my family and many varied personal interests.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
My wife and I have a 5 year plan. All but one of the big kids will be out of the house, and we would like to travel the globe and home-school the youngest.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
Organized dreamer with a good entrepreneurial bent and strong technical acumen. I love planning projects and seeing them deliver strong value for customers and stakeholders.

Welcome Brian!

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian

Hi Brian,

Welcome to this community. I like what you said about learning from others on the road to living God's mission for their lives. That's just what we're after, isn't it - a life of mission that aligns with our God-given gifts.

If it's okay to ask - are you thinking about ways to pursue work you love within the current company, exploring other options, or are you thinking about developing something new?
