Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Dave Ramsey radio show and 48days newsletter; I hope to learn more about what is looks like to be an eagleprenuer by engaging with others further down the road on this journey.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I currently work for a large medical provider and I make (what I would call) a pretty good income. However, I've discovered I'm only doing what I'm good at but not what I desire to do with my life. I'm VERY close to generating income in my new business as a Posture Alignment Specialist. Not sure what the heck that is? Check out my website (coming soon)!
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I want to become an eagleprenuer and create work out of the things I love doing. I have just created a new mission statement:
I believe that my mission is to combine my fascination with investigating and analyzing the created design both of the human body and of nature, and my desire to enlighten others of all ages to the connections between our bodies, our lifestyle choices, and our world. I want to actively live out this mission, alongside my family, by sharing my passion for finding health, joy, contentment, and freedom in this life, and by encouraging others to launch their own healing journey. Overall I want my life to reflect the love I know God has for me, and to express that love through my peaceful, conscientious, and energetically playful approach to living.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I love to run, play, sweat, move… as long as I'm active and having fun I don't care how!
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I'm skilled at analytical thinking, and executing a plan. I am inquisitive and like to learn new things and discover how things work. I am confident and diligent.

Hi BJ. Thanks for the friend request.

Yes being a "robot" so to speak has advantages. Success leaves clues and I believe that if you follow the path set by those who tried and succeed before you, you will become successful....you might hit....no you will definitely hit failure along the way but the faster we fail, the quicker we succeed.

A problem with being a robot is that sometimes we may not value ourselves as we are following someone elses program but if you follow multiple programs and copy them then it's "creative imitation" and therefore you have took several different ideas and bundled them together....wolllaaaaa....you are now an entrepreneur who originally started off as a robot :D

Posture alignment specialist?  My son who is 19 has had seven surgeries on his back, scoliosis to start out with, then a major postop infection, removal of all the hardware, then finding out his back was not healed and he developed a horrible kyphosis deformity.  He ended up seeing a surgeon who specializes in severe spinal deformities, went through another major postop infection and two years of antibiotics.  We've been through more hours of physical therapy than I could count, and those PTs have been absolute godsends.  I can very much understand how much of a market there could be for posture specialists to work with post rehab patients.  Most people don't realize, but your posture affects everything, the other muscles in your body, tendons, ligaments, your heart and lungs, etc.  Looking forward to seeing your website, and best wishes with your new business!

Just like Dennis said below, I've been absent for far too long!  Sorry it took me so long to respond.  I am going to make 48 Days my homepage; it's such an awesome resource and it's great to be surrounded by so many like-minded people.

B. J.,

I live in the Bellevue area.  I run up Charlotte Avenue and over to Old Charlotte Road.  There are some good hills in that area-the highest point in Davidson County.  However, I am rarely there.  I am an interim minister.  I am now working in Maury City, Tennessee.  I run up the highway here.

Where do you run?  How did you get started?

Thank you for the welcome.  I read a blog about barefoot running 5 years ago.  I started the following spring.  My reason for getting started it that it brought back good childhood memories.  I used to play barefoot in the summer.  I have run 2,400 miles without shoes:  6 10Ks, 2 half-marathons.  Most days I wear minimal shoes when I am not running.

I grew up working on a farm where we grew a wide range of produce along with baling hay, running a sawmill and tending cash crops (soybeans and corn). My wife and I enjoy backyard gardening and chickens right now, and hope to buy a small farm to raise organic beef and pork.
