Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about it at a Write to the Bank live event. I hope to get inspiration and guidance for the writing/speaking business I'm starting, and to contribute things I'm learning along the way. I want to share ideas and get/give constructive feedback on projects.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I work part time with the City Of Tallahassee Utilities processing appliance rebates and processing loan paperwork.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I would like to launch a writing and speaking career that will grow to provide full-time income.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
Last June, I began crossfit type workouts with a personal trainer and became a vegan. My goal is to get into wonderful shape, become healthier (bring cholesteral and blood sugar numbers into normal ranges) and to lose weight. Specifically, I plan to be down to my high school weight within a year.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I like to write. I am a very quick and accurate typist. I enjoy speaking before large groups. I tend toward optimism which has served me well through some very tough times in my life and in the lives of loved ones(this is the focus of my first book that is almost finished).
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
I am currently writing a "fable" (think in terms of Andy Andrews' "The Traveller's Gift") about living a joyful life. Joy does not equal happy. You can experience a full range of emotions while living a life of joy. The difference is that joyful people will bend in times of trouble, but they will not break!
