How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I’ve heard Dan talk about it on his podcasts since I’ve been listening to him. I hope to be able to get inspiration and stop being a wage slave and unleash my potential for myself and my family.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I’m currently working for myself but have been open to interesting opportunities that had presented themselves to me.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
My goal/dream for my work life is to continue to work for myself and build it into something that not only gives to me but that I can use to give back to others starting locally then working to grow to giving back regionally and nationally, then finally take it and globally.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I want to be able to balance my work and family life and take my wife to all the places she has dreamed about visiting while still being able to work when and where I want.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I know how to translate technobabble into plain spoken english. I like helping people, especially with technology.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
I’m a technology concierge, specializing in Apple and integrating it into clients environments

I've been listening to Dave Ramsey's The Legacy Journey: A Radical View of Biblical Wealth and Generosity and at one point he talks about reading proverbs over the course of a month, since there are 31 chapters, and underlining all the passages about work and laziness.  From…

Are You Like the Noble Bamboo?

Posted on March 20, 2015 at 6:37am 1 Comment

This morning I was catching up on my devotional reading for Lent.  One of the readings was the story of Noble Bamboo:

When the great garden of the Earth was first planted, Bamboo was the most beautiful plant of all, the favorite flower of the Master of the Garden. In one corner of the earth there were some dry fields. A spring of water was in the center of the fields, but its water could not reach the dry earth.

A bamboo plant grows in the sunshine

So the Master of the…

Are you Afraid to Admit You're Scared?

Posted on September 11, 2014 at 8:00am 2 Comments

A few weeks ago my wife and youngest daughter went to visit my oldest daughter who lives about a hour and a half away from us so I had the whole day to myself.  At first I was really excited, there was so much I could get done without anyone in the house, I could work on my website, I could work on my business, I could do some training I had been putting off and so much more.  After going through some online courses, working on a quote for a potential customer and put some ideas about my…

Hi Alan,

I wanted to reach out to you about an opportunity for vets.

I'm putting together a coaching 1-on-1 program for 5 people that are serious about starting their business. Do you know of some vets that could benefit from this type of coaching? There would be an "application" to help ensure their commitment to the process.

I am offering this at a substantially reduced investment to their business...but only to 5 people.

People will qualify if:

- They are struggling with what steps to take in starting a business.

- They are trying to determine if their business idea will work

- Are unsure of how to spend the funds they do have on business resources.

- Would like help in developing a business plan or value proposition

- They are willing to do the leg work and be coached using skype or phone calls.

If you feel this might be of interest to you or someone you know, let me know and I can shoot you the application to send out to them.

I would also be happy to discuss any questions you might have. Thanks, I look forward to the opportunity.

Hi Allan,

Thank you for your friend invitation. I am fairly new to the group; however, I think belonging will be a very enriching experience, and hopefully I can lend something to the community as well.

Thanks again,

Jay P.

Welcome to the Unlock Your Passion group!

I'm so glad you've decided to join.

As you've probably noticed already, one of the best ways to get a lot out of the group is to start a discussion or join one.

I wish you much success in your pursuit to live and work in your passions.

I look forward to connecting with you further in the group.

All My Best,

Welcome Alan,

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian
