Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Like many of you I originally heard about Dan and 48 Days through Dave Ramsey’s syndicated radio program. I have been a subscriber of the 48 Days newsletter since early 2004. While I became a member of the 48 Days Coaching Connection back in January of 2007, the past year has been my most active.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
The basis of what I have done for the past 25 years has been to help business owners and managers identify and achieve goals through the use of marketing and advertising avenues. Becoming a 48 Days endorsed coach and facilitator, is a wonderful way to expand what I love to do.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I love learning. I also enjoy sharing the best of that knowledge with others. A philosophy I feel is a result of being the offspring of a long line of teachers. So when it comes to how I would visualize success as it relates my career goals, it’s simple. Learning more increases the likelihood I will perform at a level that causes me to fell better about myself.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
In July of this year I walked away from a contract with my largest customer. The money was good, but the philosophy and methods of how they wanted to define success, well... not so much. I felt it was the perfect time to become more involved at sharing the inspirational content that Dan and his entire family have put into motion.

Why Ask Why?

After Midnight…

Quietly listen and you can hear it. The slow but steady rhythm. Tick tock, tick tock. With each new sound the clock makes, we draw ever closer. Then it happens. The clock strikes midnight.

Except for maybe a few nights a year, it's an event that largely goes unheralded. However, on December 31 the world takes notice.…

Vote Early, Vote Often…

Every four years the American people participate in the process of choosing who will be their president. If somehow you missed this last one, don't worry. The campaigning has already started for next time.

In concept it is an amazing expression of freedom. People from different ethnicities, education levels, ages, and social classes all participate in choosing their nations leader. Even with a few hiccups along the way, it's a process that must be protected. Especially from those who…

Thank you for adding me. I must say that with all the content available to browse through, it is a bit intimidating. I have joined a few groups and made a few comments so far, but what steps do I need to take in order to maximize getting the most out of the community? I look forward to connecting and interacting with you throughout this process.

Alan, thanks for reaching out.  Any help on how to make the best start in this community would be great. There is so much offered in this community.  Part of my strategy is to jump right in ... get to know members, state my direction, where I want to go and what I need help with as well as offering any advice to members where I can.

Is there anything you would like input on?

hi Alan, Thanks for your offer to help. I am not really sure where to start, I am into blogging and writing. Where would I start? Also, how much time do you dedicate to this community each week? I hear it is good to find people and comment and make myself known but am not sure how often would be a good amount.

thanks Alan. Blessings.

Thanks, Alan.  I'm on more of the writing/blogging track, so if you know what I should look at first along those lines I'd appreciate you passing along your recommendations.
