Letter to a Perfectionist

One of my greatest regrets in life is being a perfectionist. Maybe "perfectionist" is a nice way of putting it. If you've ever been callednit-pickybossy a "good girl"a control freakor a micro-manageryou might be in this boat with me. Whatever this malady is, it's kept me from living a life of joy, freedom, and abandon to God. Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about 48Days.NET through Dan's wonderful podcast! I hope to learn business strategies and get information on possible future careers.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am a student living at home and working with my parent's commercial cleaning business. A friend and I have also started a small face painting business that is doing rather well.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I dream of finding a career I can be passionate about. I want to have a well-balanced life where I sometimes confuse work and play! I look forward to finding God's Will for my future, and building on the strengths and skills He has given me to bless the world.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I want to make my hobby blog (www.PictureBritain.com) profitable, and find work that I can do on the internet--flexible and location independent.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am a very determined, precise kind of person. I like order and method and am good at organizing. I enjoy what little marketing I've done and like working on the internet. I have a creative, artistic side, as well as a strictly analytical side. I am ambitious and one of my greatest fears is a mediocre life.

A Mission Statement. Finally.

It's been a long time coming, but now that I've finally gotten college under my belt I am ready to get some parts of my life in order that have been scattered to the four winds, so to speak.

One of my October resolutions was to create my 2013 goals. In order to do that I thought I should narrow down my top 10 values, and I should also create a mission statement. Thanks to Dan's great materials, I was able to come up with a paragraph that embraces my values and gives a somewhat vague…

A Bucket List

Posted on July 31, 2011 at 4:00pm 2 Comments

I must have heard the term “bucket list” at least four times in one day. It’s the title of an Oscar award winning movie, but more than that is a popular concept among positive-thinking, life-changing, entrepreneurship-type blogs and podcasts. It’s the idea that you should make up a list of a hundred, fifty, or…

That's brilliant Abigail, congratulations on the novel! It takes a lot to go from thinking about writing a book to actually put pen to paper so that's a great achievement!

What's your book about or is it top secret? :-)

I love the US - in fact, I'm going for the first time ever in two weeks and I can hardly wait!

Hi Abigail,

Just noticed you joined 48Days.net -- WELCOME! It's a great site with tons of great people.

If you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out the following groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place.

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

One other thing…I want to offer you a gift. You can download my FR EE e-resource entitled Goal-Setting That Actually Works! by joining the REAL Success E-Zine community at www.liveitforward.com. It's a growing and dynamic community of people striving to live WAY BEYOND their average in the most important roles of their lives. I think you'll get a ton out of both the Goal-Setting product and the REAL Success E-Zine. And again, both are absolutely free.

Looking forward to connecting with you!

Hi Abigail -- Welcome to the 48 Days community. We're glad you joined.

This is the idea and social networking site for people that want to create their own opportunity.

What are some of your ideas for moving into the work and life you've always wanted?

Depending on what your interests are, there is a wide selection of discussion groups to get involved with.

One group that is worth looking into is 180 Service Station.
Good stuff going on in there.

Another group you'll want to stop by is the 4 points coaching compass. That's my group.
You are invited to get involved in this week's discussion. We are talking about whether or not anyone ever really needs a coach.
