Hello to y'all,
It's now officially the last quarter of the year. 2012 is flying by - and I trust it's been a wonderful year for you. This is another checkpoint. We all should be 75% completed with the goals we set for this year. And it's a great time for clarifying what our goals are going to be for 2013.
If you’re new to the 48Days.net community – welcome. This is an amazing group of people who are not content with mediocrity in their work – or anywhere in their lives. You’ll find the members here share their resources and expertise willingly and also share your excitement when you succeed.
We are seeing an explosion of books being published, speakers being booked, coaches filling their schedules, artists finding new ways to market their work, musicians leveraging their talent and creative businesses from podcasting to dry cleaning pickup to muscle car restoration being launched successfully.
I’m thrilled as I see more people who are finding their true calling and applying that in work that is meaningful, purposeful – and profitable. If you’re still in that process, be encouraged; you can do what many others here have done.
Each week we feature some of our favorite forum discussions, blogs, groups and members in the Notes on the front page. Please note that those who are featured and highlighted are always selected from those who have a clear picture, are active here in this community and are adding valuable content in some way. No magic or inside track – those are the things we look for.
This week we're highlighting:
Featured Discussion – Erik Fisher started a conversation that just keeps going – What are your productivity hurdles or roadblocks? He asks: What hurdles have you had come up that you've been able to jump, or sidestep for that matter? What roadblocks have gotten you stuck when it comes to managing time, tasks and attention? Read through this discussion to recognize some of your own roadblocks and to add your insights.
Featured Blog - We can complicate just about anything, can’t we? We stress over every detail of everything we choose to do. Many times all that stressing simply creates procrastination. If we wait for every detail to be perfect, we will never get anything accomplished. Michael Galvan shares his own personal strategy for breaking through. He wisely points out that the only time we have is today, so today’s the day to begin. Try his tip and see how it changes your day.
Featured Group – Josh Rickard heads up our Video Blogging group. This is a group for discussing the use of videos on our websites. From the technical and camera selection to video quality and feedback. Members share advice and experiences about their video use. And we all know video is a popular enhancement for any web presence.
Featured Member – our featured member this week is Timmery Clark from Escondido, CA. Timmery says: “I was told as a child to give up my dream of becoming an artist because I couldn’t make a living with it. Yet that did nothing to stamp out my creativity and desire to create.” How many of you were told the same thing at some point? But then we see those gifted souls like Michelangelo, Georgia O'Keeffe, Deby Dearman, Rose Gauss, Dorsey McHugh and Timmery Clark develop and thrive anyway. Are you letting other peoples' small thinking limit your own? Timmery is drawing inspiration from the Artists Arise group as she shares her work and encourages others.
Just find your unique Wisdom and Passion and create a model to release those to make your mark in the world.
