Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love
We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.
But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.
48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.
If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.
“We don’t see things as they are; we see things as we are.” – Amais Nin
Do you believe that? Do you really understand how much we filter what we "see" and experience? Nothing wrong with that - but I think it's helpful to realize our world is very subjective. We can change how we see things even if our circumstances don't change at all.
If you’re new to the 48Days.net community – welcome. This is an amazing group of people who are not content with mediocrity in their work – or anywhere in their lives. You’ll find the members here share their resources and expertise willingly and also share your excitement when you succeed.
We are seeing an explosion of books being published, speakers being booked, coaches filling their schedules, artists finding new ways to market their work, musicians leveraging their talent and creative businesses from podcasting to dry cleaning pickup to muscle car restoration being launched successfully.
I’m thrilled as I see more people who are finding their true calling and applying that in work that is meaningful, purposeful – and profitable. If you’re still in that process, be encouraged; you can do what many others here have done.
Each week we feature some of our favorite forum discussions, blogs, groups and members in the Notes on the front page. Please note that those who are featured and highlighted are always selected from those who have a clear picture, are active here in this community and are adding valuable content in some way. No magic or inside track – those are the things we look for.
Incidentally I want to add that I personally look for people who are commenting on other's blogs and forum questions. My rule of thumb is that for every time I blog I will comment on at least 3 other blogs.
This week we're highlighting:
Featured Discussion – Ethan Wild asked community members to suggest some Small Business Marketing Methods. He says he’s a young and inexperienced lawn business owner – the same exact starting point all of us were in at some point. Members were quick to jump in. You can still share your best marketing tips or perhaps learn some helpful ones for your business.
Featured Blog – We hear about addictions of all types – drugs, alcohol, shopping, gambling – and it’s always in a negative way. But we can become addicted to good things as well! Maybe you never thought about that – but with this Chris Gillebeau Quote member Keith Kemp shares a thought-provoking quote and thoughts about an addiction that can change every one of our lives - for the better!
Featured Group - Cliff Ravenscraft heads up a group that affects a whole lot of us. We depend on his leadership and the advice coming from the Podcasting and New Media group to help us make our podcasts high quality. I’ve sure pulled from Cliff’s expertise in making the 48 Days Podcast the #1 podcast in Careers on iTunes week after week. If you’re even considering doing a podcast make sure you tap into the resources of this group. Cliff really is the PodcastAnswerMan.
Featured Member – our featured member this week is Peter Ferguson from Tooele, Utah. Peter just attended the Coaching with Excellence event here at the Sanctuary and his more committed than ever to be a career and life coach. Since attending this event he has decided to blog 5 days a week and is right on track with that. We give everyone 48 Marketing Tips and challenged them to select 4 or 5 and do them consistently. Watch Peter’s success now that he’s put some systems in place.
Let us know what you're doing to make the world a better place - as you fuel your own success. - Dan Miller
