One more vote for continuing this valuable program, and for making it available as a podcast.  One note: as you measure interest in the program, I hope you are able to measure more than just iTunes downloads.  Many of us use other services (Pocket Casts, Stitcher, BeyondPod, etc, etc), and I'm not sure these downloads show up in a single statistic.  Thanks for all you do!  Jon

Wow - thank you all for this valuable input.  I'll take this to our team and craft a new plan.

I'm glad to see so many other people voicing their interest and support for the Tues. Night Brainstorming Sessions.

Like others, I only ever listened to the replays. The value for me was in hearing in-depth success stories from "real" people, and in bringing new ideas that I would not have been exposed to otherwise. Even when the topics did not seem like they would have been applicable to me, I ended up with new ideas, motivation, and inspiration.

A big THANK YOU to Dan, Jen McDonough, the 48 Days member who created the podcast feed, and of course to the guests!

I have Bible study on Tuesday nights so I give that time to God, but I listen to the replay later. I like the replay of the live interactive sessions because the listener questions are usually what I would have asked. I hope you keep that as part of whatever format or time you decide to go with. Thanks!

Thanks Eve very much .. I see that and thanks .. right now I need to find a course to learn the tablet. Verizon was great to me and let me try a
smart phone but I was lost even after a couple weeks. I bought the tablet to learn both! I attended numerous classes and have made some headway .. no classes like boces or local workshops. I guess I am really slow! LOL an
instructor from verizon store has offered to take a half hour at at time to tutor me. I think I may try that a couple times to see if we can connect and I can make progress! Thanks .. I still need a class I think . I know more now that
I did 7 months ago. This is one of the reasons I bought the tablet and also wanted a smart phone?!? Eva ! Again, thank you so much and my second granddaughter is named Eva too!

Thank you again! Warmest wishes and blessings to you and yours

I've found these valuable, and I usually listen to them after hours as well. Here's some things to consider:

  • Include the episodes in the regular 48 Days Podcast stream. I suspect that there is a significant number of your regular podcast listeners who simply don't know about these interview style "brain storming sessions."
  • Consider a hybrid live/pre-recorded concept. Pre-record the content (in batches probably) but release them at a set time each week and promote the live chat room/tweet/social media interaction. This might actually give you and the interviewee the ability to respond to comments in real-time since you won't be distracted while recording the interview.

If the issue is you just don't have the time any more, consider my hand held high to take the baton. I love conducting and listening to these types of interviews and think that it's a valuable part of the 48 Days Community.

Hi ~!  Me again! comments on a lie show are wonderful and should be included on the replay -- necessary even. It helps with the replay for everyone! Again those who can be there live are the ones that will perhaps provide the most pertinent questions. I still find most podcasts too long . Nevertheless for persons I follow or work with in some capacity say Jeff Goins or Andy Traub, Jeff Walker and a few others I always make an effort to be there to support them. After all,  the most important activity in all our lives are people. We need to help each other and support each other and to bless them!

PS I am still trying to figure out how to put these on my tablet ... for that matter how to use it! For those of you that know me ... I am slow but once I get it! LOL Blessing to you all!

I agree with the previous posts.  I was able to be on the session live at times but more often than not needed to listen to the recording after the fact.  I think a podcast format would be wonderful - so much easier to access and I think it would garner a wider audience as well.  I love listening to podcasts on my daily walking routine in the morning!

Could you possibly just begin a 48 Days Brainstorming Online Radio Program and we could subscribe? Put all the old episodes on there at one a week while you produce new ones. On my way to exercise AND listen to Online Radio (podcasts). I rarely finish an exercise session without recording a voice message of a lesson, idea or nugget from a paused podcast.  As with most content creation, analytics may measure listeners and readers but application remains invisible until feedback is received. It appears you are receiving feedback.

As someone who was interviewed in a Brainstorming Session, I can tell you that there has been a huge amount of interaction and connection that has only happened because of the interview.  Not just connection with me, but connection between listeners.  Those connections didn't show up in this group, but they did occur and they continue to bring value to the people involved.

It's difficult to measure impact like this, but dividends will continue to be paid for years to come for an hour of time we shared a while back.
