I know many here are authors, and looking to get your book published. Here's a cool little contest from my editor Erica Orloff, she has a publishing company, and they're looking for good books for this contest. Could be a great opportunity for all involved. Full disclosure: it's $35 to enter. I receive nothing for promoting this.http://www.dragontreebooks.com/indie-genius-contest-for-writers/

Writing for The Huffington Post these past few months has been amazing. A cool feature is that the content on these large websites doesn't have to be exclusive, you just have to link back to the source. I originally posted an article on the Good Men Project and then reposted today on the Huff Post. It has gone viral in both places. New email subscribers because there's no overlap in the audiences. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/kimanzi-constable/8-unrealistic-expec...

Also, if you're learning email marketing to grow your business, I shared six tips with Entrepreneur Magazine today: http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/237002

Enid -- Kent's advice is good. Why don't you go ahead and post your question (as you have it here) into a discussion. Just use the "Add a Discussion" link above the comment wall. You'll likely get more input and your question won't get buried.

I'll add some answers as well but wait until you've posted this as a discussion, not to risk my answers getting buried. I have no doubt you'll find some great help here!

Enid...GREAT questions!

Two thoughts...

1. There are a lot of editors in this group. I'd highly recommend you use one of them.

2. You might want to copy and paste your questions into our Discussion Forum. I'm afraid all the information you will receive on the comment wall will gets lost on all the other comments that get placed here.

Wishing you huge success!

Hi Enid,

I can help with editing your manuscript. Take a look at my website, www.McConnellMedia.com and see if you'd like to work with me. If you'd like to, just contact me (contact details on my web page) and we can talk and see what needs to be done. I'll quote you a flat rate based on what's needed.

Welcome to the group!

Sarah

Hi all,

I am new here and would like some advice and direction on a few points:

1. Who can edit my my manuscript and how much will it cost me?

2. How many words, minimum, would be advisable for a book on personal health experience - ie how I was enabled to overcome a debilitating disease, osteoarthritis, just by changing what I ate. I don't want it long and boring, but readable at one sitting and easy to pass on?

3. I have already written part of the manuscript, and would like to know at what stage to start looking for publisher/editor.

Please help.

Billie...what a powerful story!!!!

Hi Guys, Dan issued a challenge in August - read something positive for 30 minutes each morning. And in six months our income will double.

I've been doing it for over a year - and what a difference. I feel different, things are happening. I am a better mom, a happier person doing more art. I just did a book I am getting ready to launch and just redid my art site.

I floundered for many years until I started doing this - and since I started it's not been all roses and sunshine. It's also taken me longer than six months. But life is soooo much better. I just got a text last night from my kiddo (a teen) saying how she loved me to the moon and back.

I want to create encouragement and support for each other as we do this. So I just created a facebook page where we can connect and help each other. We can help each other with resources. What are we reading or listening to, how is it changing us?

Okay here's the facebook page. I'm calling it the Good Morning Challenge

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Good-Morning-Challenge/7861093981063...

Join in, let's go.

Thanks, Kimanzi and love that you live in Hawaii!  Truly one of my favorite places on earth!  I will read your blog post, and I'm sure will find it very helpful!
