You know it's going to be a good day when Fox News and Yahoo picks up one of your articles :)

Kimanzi, it's such fun to share in your successes! Hope to meet you in person at some point.

Hi John Wilson! If you haven't found anyone to help with your transcription/editing, give me a shout. I can do transcribing and formatting. My most recent transcribing was listening to tape of six Navy SEALS who tend to talk over each other :-) I suspect transcribing a single voice or two voices shouldn't be nearly as taxing, haha. Send me a message if you're still looking to hire someone - we can do a trial run with one of your messages and see how things go.

Any of you guys ever tried the paleo diet? I wrote a book on how to slowly introduce it. It's called The Complete Guide to Primitive Eating

I am brining this up because, for some reason, I have determined today that I am going to make the best sellers list for paleo books on kindle today! So if you are interested in eating like a caveman but found it tough follow the link below to get your book.

Also, if you are not interested in improving your overall health, if you could just click on the link to help my ranking that would me much appreciated! ;-)

The Complete Guide to Primitive Eating.

Thanks everyone!!

I would like to ask this group for recommendations regarding transcription and editing services for a book.  I have many messages currently shared as podcasts (I was a pastor of a church plant for the past several years).  Many of these messages are centered around common themes of personal growth, development, and transformed thinking.  Many of my audio series would make great material for books.  I want to find someone who can take the audio from a message series and create and edit it into readable format.

I've tried some of the traditional transcription services who use programs to convert audio into text.  But the problem is the way I speak is much different from a readable format.  So my real need is someone who can edit the transcripts into book-form language and structure.

Is there anyone in the 48day community that this group would recommend?

A major change to how Amazon pays self-publishing authors went into place yesterday. Previously, KDP users participating in the Kindle Select Program (granting exclusive digital rights to Amazon) got paid when readers borrowed their book through Kindle Unlimited or the Kindle Users Lending Library.

Amazon had a monthly fund; each month, this fund was distributed evenly across the total number of book borrows.

Starting July 1, a similar payment pool is in place. However, authors are now paid proportionally based on the number of pages that are actually read in their books. The KDP reporting page now charts pages read across all your books in Kindle Select.

There are more details on the KDP website. This is a major shift in Amazon's approach for self-publishers. We'll have to see how it changes the market.

Kimanzi is the man! Anybody else planning to go to Podcast Movement next month? I know Kimanzi will be there.

While not specific to writing, there's a ton of overlap in the media/marketing content that's applicable to writers. I went last year and the networking alone made it worth the investment.
