Erin, that is so awesome! CONGRATS!!!  Amazon's Kindle top 10 - that deserves a "Button". I think I shared this before, but here is a "button" that I had Jeff Long make up for my signature line and websites. My book didn't "stay" in the top 100, however, it hit the top 100 so as I learned from Dan's WTTB conference, that gives one bragging rights.

Fun about the Kindle sales - I honestly didn't know there was a difference from Amazon sales. I checked mine out and it was at 48 under Triathlon for Kindle - button time!

Congrats Erin, I love how we learn so many useful things here :)

My 1st book is holding steady at #5 in Children's Action & Adventure in the freebie list. Woohoo!

And the promotion is helping to drive sales of Book 2. Yippee! Thanks again for everyone's support. I told Jen McDonough I'm so thankful to have a network like 48days.net and Write it Forward. Y'all rock!

Thanks, Kimanzi! I hope they love it!

So true about the comment on price. You're selling the content/value, not the paper or MB count. Thanks for sharing.

For those with books or have books coming out, one of the biggest question is price. I would say 9 times out of 10 we under-price because we think that no one is willing to pay a higher price for an unknown book.

One thing Brendon Burchard talked about is knowing your value or the value of your product. So even if you have a 50 page book, price it by the value you know the reader will get, not by how long the book is.

When I got back from the conference I tested this theory by rasing my eBooks from $1.99 for one and .99 cents for the other to $4.97 for each. I am now selling double then I was at the cheaper price (I do realize PART of the reason is some extra exposure) sorry to rant like this, just something I was thinking about when I read this quote from Seth Godin:

"Cheapest price is the refuge for the marketer with no ideas left or no guts to implement the ideas she has."

Congrats to Henry Matlock for winning the autographed copy of Chris Guillebeau's new book, $100 Start Up. Henry had an awesome, real life idea, you deserve it buddy! http://talesofwork.com/blog/2012/05/keep-on-the-path-no-matter-what/

I got the book as well Erin, my kids are excited!

Thank you Jen, Colleen & Henry! I appreciate the help in spreading the word. Who knew it could be so consuming to give something away for free? I keep wanting to check the numbers, lol!

On the AuthorMarketingHub.com site that Sibyl mentioned there's a place to notify several sites about your freebie deals. Pretty handy. I've bookmarked that site! Thanks, Sibyl.

Erin,

Way to kick butt!  We downloaded a copy and the kids are enjoying reading the hardcopy as well. I put a note out to my FB crew and will Tweet out a note later.  CONGRATULATIONS!!
