Today's Gospel Truth ~ "But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." Titus 3:5-7

Titus a dear beloved of the Apostle Paul, a man of great grace and large gifts wrote to remind Believers that they have a duty to pay careful attention to showing excellent character at all times. Remaining mindfully humbled that it is God who rightfully delivers us from being a careless, heartless people. It is because God has always had a good plan for our lives He made a determined effort to wash us in His righteousness through the Holy Spirit, after which He saw to it that we came out as new people with a restored mindset. Our Savior Jesus poured out New Life into us when He died on the Cross, thus it is through this new life of restored relationship we have been made heirs of the Father.
Because of this new life of restoration we can live as a happier people not only as a Believer and as a Son of God, but also as a Friend of God, knowing that as a Friend He Will never leave us Friendless. There is a great advantage to being both a Son and a Friend of Our Heavenly Father. As a Friend you'll often hear the secrets of His heart which is what God will love to share with all whom He call a Friend. Let us remain mindful that the quality of our relationship with God is greatly determined on the level of our love and consideration toward God. We have the opportunity to love Him as a Believer, a Son or Daughter, and ultimately as a Friend. What an Amazing Friend. Selah
Heir - a person who inherits or is entitled to inherit the rank, title, position, etc., of another.
"And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God." James 2:23
"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." Galatians 3:16

I love the encouraging message! My first thought is that this sounds like it's written for believers. If that's your market, I think you're good. If you're goal is to encourage non-believers, you might do so more effectively changing the phrasing. We forget sometimes that not everyone is in the same spiritual place. What sounds like love pouring out from our souls can scare someone who doesn't get what it's all about yet. That said, for a devotional thought for a believer, it's right on target.
Hi there Casey,
Thank you much for your comments on the Devotion. You have given me something to think about indeed. I have actually been writing since I began for the purpose of uplifing Believers and totally forgot about the family not in the Faith as yet, thanks so much for reminding me as I need to plug that in for them too sometimes. Great point, thanks for the feedback.
