The Free Website Critique group is for 48Days members who want to improve the effectiveness of their website or blog.

Here's how it works...

1. Start a discussion and let me know which site you would like to improve (only one please).

2. You'll receive a reply from me with a link to a short video. This personalized video will be a critique of your website and include specific things you can do to improve* your website.

3. Other members can also watch the video and offer their feedback.

*When I say “improve” I’m referring to increasing your conversion rate. Many people can help you improve the look of your site but I focus on getting people to take action.

Who the heck am I?

My name is Josh and I'm a full-time online copywriter. I help businesses improve the copy on their websites in order to convert more visitors into paying customers.

Which happens to be a great win-win.

I make $2,000-$3,000 for writing 5-6 pages of copy and the company makes an additional $20,000-$30,000 because of increased sales.

Plus I get to work from home and they don't have to pay me a salary (Thanks Dan!).

What the heck is copywriting?

If you don't know what copywriting is here's the most concise definition ever written...

"Copywriting is salesmanship in print."

And unlike ads that interrupt people, good copy simply joins the conversation that's already taking place inside your reader's mind. As you can imagine there’s a lot of psychology involved in writing copy.

In these video critiques I'll help you "get inside the mind of your visitor" so you can help them get what they want which will help you get what you want (more sales, right?).

My name is Tom. I’m a process technician by trade for some 28 years. I write work instructions that go step by step thru a process. I have not looked at writing the way you describe. I would like to hear what you think about the web site that we have.

My brother, Jeff came up with an idea to help people get out of the harmful effects of the sun while near water or in it. He came to me with the idea and we developed it into Water-Shade. This is a brand new market and a brand new product. You can now float a pop-up canopy on water.

We have been selling some in the local pool stores here in Phoenix AZ, but would like to get more internet sales. My sister, Lisa is a graphic artist and has helped us a lot up to now. She developed the box and web site.

I’m looking forward to seeing your critique of our web site.
